I found this to be bland. No one in my family liked it. It needs something.

Firecracker Fried Chicken Drumsticks

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2008
These had a very good flavor. However, the breading started to fall of as other reviewers said. I am experienced at making fried chicken & the batter has never fallen off. It must have something to do with the hot sauce. I would make again if I was sure the breading would stay on.

Tomato Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
My family really loved this recipe! When preparing the recipe, I 1st sliced all the tomatoes & layed them out on several layers of paper towels on a cookie sheet to drain. Usually tomato recipes like this are runny but his tip from another reviewer really helped. Also, instead of adding salt & pepper to the cheese mixture I sprinked them lightly on each layer of vegetables as I went. I used fresh basil & oregano. When the casserole is finished cooking allow it to cool & set-up for about 10-15 min. We had this with grilled Italian sausage & a crusty loaf of bread!

Grilled Fish Tacos with Chipotle-Lime Dressing

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
We did use Haddock instead of Tilapia, worked out great! My only questions is in how long it is recommended to marinade fish. I only did so for 30min. & as it was the fish was cooked a bit by the acidity in the marinade. Wouldn't 6-8 hours cook it completely? Anyhow, we loved it & 30 min. worked just fine. Thanks for the recipe!

Hot Shredded Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2008
It is true, this is a bland food but that is exactly how these sandwiches taste. I was raised in Texas & haven't really understood my Ohio family's excitement over these sandwiches served at their local fair each year but all I can say is that maybe it has everything to do with regional taste, memories, & tradition. I guess that is why I was searching for the recipe!

Very good & easy! I think it's important to let these marinate over night. They come out really tender. I also made a chicken salad with these.

So good! As others suggested I used more soy sauce than called for, other than that I follwed the directions to a 't'. You must cook as directed if you want crispy wings.

Steven's Baked Nachos

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
These are very good. I made it more of a casserole though. I crushed the tortilla chips up a bit. I have made this twice once without the sour cream and once with. I & my family liked it much better with the sour cream layer. I also sauteed a chopped onion and added a layer.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
I LOVE this pie! I followed the directions except I used crunchy peanut butter and I crushed up chocolate chip cookies & mixed with melted butter for the crust. I also drizzled the crust with hot fudge before putting in the filling. Then I drizzled the top with more hot fudge. I put my pies in the freezer, I don't think the consistency would have been right in the fridge.

Spiral Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
This recipe is great, as is, but I did add some things just to switch it up a little. It has really been a hit! I just made a double batch for a co-worker of my husband's; they requested it to carry to an event. I followed directions except I added these things: 1 small jar marinated artichoke hearts (undrained & broken up), 1 small can, drained, black olives, 1/2 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese (could use feta also), & 2 tsp. garlic salt (fresh ground, in a mill, bought this spice combo @ my local warehouse club).

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
I LOVE this recipe! I left out the rasins and doubled the recipe. It was better the next day. Next time I make it I will make it the day before. I thought the broccoli wouldn't stay crisp but it did, for days. Also, I used bacon bits instead of actual bacon.
