Good but too soupy for a main course. Added alot of saffron rice and black beans (yellow rice and frijoles negroes)when serving.

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2008
I made this for 40 people for a 12th Night Celebration. Boy, folks loved it. It was the talk of the meal. I had a huge bag of shallots to use up so I only picked this recipe because of that. The name is a misnomer- It should be Beef Tenderloin with Sherry/Shallot Sauce. I plan on serving it again for Easter dinner. An improvement over our traditional ham. I have already emailed this recipe to several folks who have asked for it. I agree with smoothing the sauce before serving. I used an imersion blender for a better texture.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
I used 1 cup whole wheat flour and butter. The rolls had good flavor but were heavy. I am going to try other recipes that let the dough rise for a longer period of time and see if that would make the roll lighter.

Crabbies

I cut out a lot of the mayonnaise as well. I served them on New Year's Eve and every single one was gobbled up. So easy to pull out of the freezer, broil, and serve.

My girlfriends favorite Brocolli recipe so far. Wonderful! She says she likes it better than brocolli with cheese, and thats saying something.

Classy Chicken

I have been searching for a really impressive dish for dinner parties and this is it! Fancy looking and tasty! I paired it with some long grain rice and the Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews recipe which can be found here. Absolutely wonderful and I will definitely be making it again!

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
We tend to like spicy food but I decided to change it up some. I gave this a shot and it just wasn't very flavorful. Wasn't bad just kind of meh. Not sure what I would do differently.

Grandma's Sour Cream Pound Cake

This cake is amazing! I made it for Thanksgiving dinner and everyone loved it. I did not have mace so I omitted it. I have requests from my parents and aunts and uncles to make this again! Thanks so much for the recipe!

The Humble Shepherd

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
With the only seasonings being salt and pepper, I imagined this would be a very dull dish. I made lots of adjustments, adding garlic, white pepper, and worchestershire sauce to the turkey to spice it up. It was great, I think this is a good template recipe that is easily adjusted to your palette, but isnt much on its own.
