Spinach Salad Supreme

I love this when made a day in advance! Tastes different on the day of, not as good to me. Worth making a day in advance - is tangy and so good. I used minced dried onions as well.

Candied Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
Very unique combo and grouping of flavors! We LOVED it, but we like those flavors. It was so good my husband said he couldn't stop eating it! We also love salmon fillets too. We had it on wild salmon - yumm, yumm! A new keeper. Also, great presentation as well!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
Good recipe, my husband thought they were just okay - he's the chocolate chip cookie king! Still just isn't the exact recipe I'm looking for in a chocolate chip cookie. Only would make again if I couldn't find anything better.

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
Out of this world! It looks beautiful and tastes wonderful! The only change I made was only using 1 green bell pepper instead of 2 peppers. My guests raved about it! Made it the day before (adding corn the day of) and it was fabulous, was still good even the next day. Very summery and very tastey!!

Garlic and Basil Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
Great if you LOVE a strong garlic and basil flavor. Only takes a small amount on the salad because of the strong flavor too. No store brand compares to the freshness of this.

Microwave Bread and Butter Pickles

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
Absolutely delicious!!!!!! I would recommend cutting the cucumber slices thinner (not too thin) versus thicker. I also recommend letting the pickles chill out in the freezer for a few days before sampling. They are so wonderful - you'll be impressed that you made them in the microwave! My grandmother who works so hard each year to can her on pickles the old fashioned way will never believe me when I share this with her! This is a keeper!

Super Summer Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
This is out of this world! I cut the sugar in half, used rice vinegar and used sweet yellow canned corn and regular onion - it was delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't specify - but be sure to drain liquid from beans and corn before dumping into salsa (some people might not know better, just thought I'd share). This could also be a nice side dish as well without chips. It's fabulous!

Jalapeno Popper Wontons

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
They are time consuming - but worth it. Plus they make so many that you can freeze some if you are just fixing a few for yourself. They are yummo and such a great snack - better than the poppers from the store!!!! It's a keeper!

Pepper-Honey Cedar Plank Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
AWESOME! I will make this again and again! Yumm! And don't be afraid of the cayenne pepper it's certainly not too strong (my husband agreed and he doesn't care for really spicy things - I do though). We cooked exactly by recipe and on a cedar plank on gas grill! It was out of this world - one of the best salmon dishes I've ever had!

Jayme's Cole Slaw

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
Certainly not cole slaw in my opinion, more like cabbage salad or something. VERY unusual taste. My 4yr old LOVED it so I will make it again because of that. I liked it (not love) for a change of pace. I thought it was best after sitting and soaking in the dressing for a while.

Marinated Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
Very mild in flavor. Very good. Not too salty at all - I added salt to mine again once it was on my plate. I let them marinate for about 3 hrs, but if they marinated all day or overnight they would be extra tender and so yummy. This is a keeper for a change of pace pork chop marinade!

Hillbilly Punch

Was a huge hit at bbq/grillout. Would not sip this normally, b/c it's really sweet. For an outdoor occassion it was great and went well with the foods too. I made a huge pitcher and put lime and orange slices in it - the pitcher was empty within 1 hour!!!!!!!!!!

Panzanella Salad

Reviewed: May 26, 2008
Very delicious! I did not use olives. I added vidalia onion instead of red. Adding a little Italian seasoning dressing would have been a nice addition and next time I will add it. It was a hit at our picnic - did well for the few hours it was out. I was afraid it would be too soggy to enjoy, but it was even more yummy with a little softness to it. Be sure to make your own crutons - that's a must for the integrity of the salad!! Yum!
