Salsa De Tomatillo

This was excellent! I didn't change a thing. If you desire more heat then you can add more jalapeno peppers, but do so in small amounts - don't want it too hot! Thanks for the great recipe!!!

This was great. I did increase the garlic by a tablespoon, and reduced the olive oil. I also added diced onions to the garlic, and a few mushrooms. will definitely make again! Thanks for the great recipe!!

This was good. The next time I make it, though, I will probably use more peach schapps than stated in the recipe :)

Dum-Dum Pie

This was great!! I took one of the whipped topping tubs and flavored it chocolate by using Godiva cocoa, and placed this on the top layer. I also toasted the walnuts lightly before placing them in the pie. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Lumpia (Shanghai version)

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2004
Aside from substituting onion salt (and reducing the salt content) for the regular salt, and adding 1/4 cup sliced green onions, I made NO changes to this recipe. These are excellent!!! I will DEFINITELY make these again (probably weekly)!!! I also used egg roll wrappers instead of spring roll wrappers (didn't have them on hand at the time). I have also found that I can brush them with peanut oil and bake them in a 425 degree oven for 25 min to reduce the fat content, turning the lumpia after 10 minutes. The peanut oil also adds a nice flavor when deep fried. Thanks for the great recipe!!!!

Thai Noodles

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2004
This was pretty good....very spicy, so not for the weak palate. I used beef instead of chicken, and marinated the beef in the soy sauce, adding garlic powder and onion salt to the soy sauce. I reduced the peanut sauce, omitted the red chile sauce, and added green onions. I also served these with lumpia (shanghai style) from this site. I will definitely make this again. Thanks for the recipe, Sharon!

Stir Fried Sesame Vegetables with Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2004
This was great. I added sliced carrots, a canned mixture of bamboo shoots/water chestnuts/baby corn, and 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts to the veggie mixture. I also reduced the ginger by a teaspoon (didn't want it too sweet). I will definitely make this again. Thanks for the great recipe, Verona!!

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2004
This ham was excellent!!! I didnt have an orange, so I used a pineapple orange juice blend, and increased the juice content by 1/4 cup. I used the glaze on a pre-sliced ham, and baked for 45 min (because it was already pre-cooked). I glazed throughout baking. There were no leftovers!!! Thanks, Sue!!!

These were ok. Like another user stated, they took FOREVER to cook. Most of mine did not get crunchy either. I will probably just soak them in plain water next time.

American Lasagna

This was pretty good. I omitted the brown sugar, I don't know, it kind of scared me, made me think the sauce might be sweet (especially after looking at the reviews of others). Other than that, this was great! A keeper! Thanks, Rosemary!

Black and White Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2004
This waS GREAT! Instead of buying the precooked chicken, I purchased marinated chicken breasts. When I cooked the chicken breasts, I added some garlic, and cooked them in olive oil. After they finished cooking, I cut them into strips, added a bit of butter; added onions, and bell peppers, then I sauteed this mixture with the black beans. For the Alfredo sauce, I used Portobello Mushroom Alfredo, because I love mushrooms. I used just enough sauce to cover the crust; and sprinkled a bit of cheddar cheese on the top, because I ran out of mozzarella. I will definitely make this recipe again! Thanks for the submission, Tiffany!

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2004
This tastes like every other Alfredo recipe I have tried. It was nothing special, just ok. I might make again, maybe making a few modifications, such as adding fresh parsley & basil, and fresh garlic. I might try adding some chicken or shrimp, as well.

Lemon Butter Seasoned Vegetables

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2004
This was a good recipe....helped me eat my carrots....LOL! I did make a few changes. First, I reduced the amount of butter and lemon juice, and did not add the italian seasoning (I don't really care for it). I boiled the carrots (because I don't have a steamer), then added the butter, lemon pepper (as suggested by another user), lemon juice, and salt, then mixed them all in one pot. They were really good. A keeper!

Garlic Wine String Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2004
These were pretty good. I did make a few changes, such as adding the garlic to the wine and bean mixture. I also added some onion salt to the wine/bean/garlic mixture. Finally, I put the cheese on top of the beans without microwaving. It still melted, and eliminated another dish to wash!!!
