This one didn't do it for me. I've had better barbecue sauce. Thanks anyway!

Lemon Pepper Chicken II

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2005
The key to this recipe is to use *unsweetened* lemonade mix (like Kool-Aid) to eliminate the sweetness problem. Also, since Kool - Aid is concentrated, you wouldn't use as much (2 envelopes should be fine). I used this marinade for a whole chicken, and roasted it for an hour and a half. This would also be excellent for lemon pepper wings. Thanks for the great recipe!

Broiled Lobster Tails

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2005
Like others have stated, the key is to watch the lobster tails. I split the shell and meat down the middle, then laid the lobster meat on top of the shell for nice presentation. I also sprinkled them with a bit of garlic. Thanks for the great recipe!!!

Japanese Shrimp Sauce I

I think this recipe is missing the ketchup that the other shrimp sauce recipe has. However, I did use the suggestion to substitute reduced calorie ingredients. Thanks for the recipe.

I must agree with the user that stated that this recipe waS better than the other one. I did scale the ingredients to 2 servings; I didn't think I would need THAT much sauce. Thanks for the great recipe!

Tzatziki Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2005
This was wonderful! I served this on shrimp pitas with sauteed green peppers and onions. I also followed another users' suggestion to fold the ingredients into the yogurt instead of using the food processor, and let it sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Thanks for the great recipe!

You'd be amazed at how such a simple recipe could turn out soooo good. I added diced tomatoes and green onions to the top for some color, and used fresh parmesan cheese. A keeper!!!

Spicy Garlic and Pepper Shrimp

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2004
This was great!! I used the shredded coleslaw cabbage in the salad section to save some time. I did add some freshly ground black pepper, some sliced carrots, sliced celery, and sliced water chestnuts, and served with Lumpia (Filipino Egg Rolls). Thanks for the great recipe, Jim! (Update 11/25/06)- I made this tonight, and added some minced ginger (along with the other ingredients I added) for a change of pace. It was WONDERFUL...I also served it with steamed rice. This is one of my favorite recipes on allrecipes.com...thanks again!

Spicy Rapid Roast Chicken

This was wonderful!!! The chicken had a rotisserie type flavor to it, and the skin browned very nicely!!! I added garlic powder to the mixture of seasonings, and I rubbed the skin with butter about 5 min prior to removing it from the oven. Thanks for the great recipe, Nancy!!!

Southern Fried Cabbage

These were pretty good...I did make a few changes. I reduced the oil to 1 TBSP (the bacon generates enough grease). I also waited until I added the cabbage to add the salt and pepper, and eliminated the sugar. Thanks for the great recipe!!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2004
THIS IS IT - THE RECIPE I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR - cookies were sooooo chewy, melt in your mouth good!!!!! Oh my God....I would give this recipe 10 stars if I could!!! I made a few changes. I melted the butter instead of using softened. I used 2 tbsp of pure vanilla extract instead of 2 teaspoons. The "base" of this recipe is excellent for any combination of "additions" you want to try - I made traditional chocolate chip, chocolate chip w/ walnuts, chocolate chip w/ M&Ms, White chocolate chip/chocolate chip, and white chocolate macadamia. I also refrigerated the dough for about an hour, then scooped it onto the cookie sheet with an ice cream scooper - helps them hold their shape. Thank you for the WONDERFUL recipe - I will never buy mall cookies again!!!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies IV

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2004
These were ok. The "missing" brown sugar made these taste more like a sugar cookie with macadamias and white chocolate pieces. I did reduce the heat to 325 and then increased the heat to 375 to reduce scorching of the white chocolate pieces. Not quite what I was looking for....thanks anyway!

Pollo Fajitas

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2004
These were better than any fajita mix I have had from the grocery store :) - I did follow the advice of others and add the lemon juice to the marinade for the chicken, using boneless skinless chicken breasts. I let the chicken marinate all day, as opposed to 30 minutes. I also substituted ground cumin and paprika for the chili powder (I didn't have any at the time). I served the fajitas with pico de gallo (recipe from this site), cheddar cheese, and sour cream. Thanks for the great recipe!!!
