From the Civil War, through the Civil Rights movement, to its current unofficial title of "Capital of the New South," Atlanta has grown into one of the largest and most influential cities in the United States. The culinary traditions of Atlanta are greatly informed by its location in the heart of the American southeast, as well as its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and its status as a destination for people relocating from Louisiana. Locals and visitors to Atlanta will have their choice of great barbeque, soul food, seafood, Cajun food, and Creole cuisine. Perhaps Atlanta's most notable contribution to the world of food and beverage came in 1886 when Dr. John S. Pemberton invented what has become the world's most popular soft drink, Coca-Cola.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

This is a great recipe. I had a craving for this and your recipe came through. I used lime juice instead of lemon, I used purple onion. I also diced an avacado and put it in the bowl on the chips. Turned out great!!!! Thanks

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

I received this recipe from my grandmother over 30 years ago, it has been a must for holidays for over 3 generations. Although my grandmother made this with regular cornbread it is still the most favorite side dish in our family.
