Smoked Turkey Tortilla Wraps

this is a very good base recipe I also used pepper turkey and instead of sour cream used the whipped cream cheese with chives as one person suggested this would be very good with bacon

Herbed Cottage Cheese

I love the smell of cottage cheese but can't get past the texture howeve my husband and kids love cottage cheese they all loved this said it was a nice change from just plain season salt

Whole Wheat Biscuits

hate to be the person who just didn't like these but we just didn't like these...I made these exactly as the recipe stated except that I too had to double the recipe to feed 8 people, however I found the dough to be too dry it was hard to get it to stick together, the biscuits didn't rise they were flat...I did like the wheat taste so I will try some of the other wheat biscuit recipes found on this site but this one just won't be staying in our recipe book

Grilled Asparagus

I used anothers person's tip and put the asparagus in a ziplock bag with a little olive oil and seasoned pepper, squished it all around to coat the asparagus let it sit in the fridge for a few hours then grilled it on the grill with key west chicken...the pieces that were "burnt" were the best what an easy way to serve this yummy veggie

Key West Chicken

I pounded out the chicken breast so they were thin, marinated for a few hours and cooked them on the grill they were enjoyed by the whole family. Served with grilled aspargus and brown rice what a great meal

Mexican Botana Platter

this was so good reminds me of a good mexican recipe...I cut this in half to only make 5 portions and used tortilla chips from Chili's take out instead of frying the corn tortillas...and used all beef no chicken turned out wonderful what a wonderful idea to make a fajita casserole...next time I am going to add some shrimp

Tater Tot Hot Dish I

Like it says this is an oldie...I also browned the ground beef and onion so that I was able to drain off the grease, skipped the oats (I can't stand oats and ground beef it is the whole moatloaf thing) added a can of veg-all and added a layer of cheese between the beef and tator tots...I cut the baking time down to approx 30 minutes since the beef is already cooked...this can be assembled up to the cheese layer in the morning put in the fridge pull it out just prior to dinner add the tator tots and pop it in the oven even the picky eaters like this one

My whole family loved these they are slightly heavier than regular snickerdoodles even so they are really good the only change I made was to add a teaspoon of vanilla.

Delicious Grilled Hamburgers

We thought these were a nice change from plain hamburger patties...I followed the advice of others and cut the amount of liquid smoke in half but next time will use the full amount we like that smokey flavor.

I followed the other reviews and used red potatoes and the tip about precooking and storing in the fridge until ready to finish...these made nice potatoes without having to heat up the oven that will be great during the summer

Chicken Broth in a Slow Cooker

I also used a chicken carcass to make this (I do this all the time now after making a roasted chicken) I followed the other reviewer and freeze it in 1 and 3/4 cup packets. This smells so good and the broth is so much better than the canned stuff...thanks

my whole family prefers homemade to kraft when it comes to mac n cheese I love fact that this recipe uses so many different cheeses I omitted the ham but think adding pepperoni might make a nice addition

Stuffed Peppers

this is a favorite for my husband and me, the kids just eat the filling...I made the following changes...I didn't boil the peppers, I used half sausage and half hamburger and one can of tomatoe soup than filled the empty can half full of bbq sauce, I didn't have instant rice so I just made regular rice and added it to the beef mixture after the simmering, also didn't use a pound of cheese just covered the top of the peppers with cheese at the very end

doesn't this remind you of growing up! anyway my tip is don't use jumbo eggs and remember to toast the cut-out also using cookie cutters is a great way to change the shape and keep it interesting for the kids
