Tomato Spinach Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
this was a gr8 recipe!!! i used a premade dough that just needed streched and baked after all the goodies and i used fat free cheeses. before adding all the veggies i sprayed the crust with extra virgin olive oil and fresh minced garlic then sprinkled the entire crust thouroughly with a spice and herb blend (tuscany blend) added the veggies (i used fresh spinach) and cheeses, i added some ricotta, plenty of mozzarella and a generous sprinkling of parmesean all fat free and baked about 17 min.!!! amazing and a keeper!!!

Halloumi Cheese Fingers

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
absolutely fabulous!!! i cut mine into slabs about 1/2 inch thick as this cheese gets such a beautiful crust as it is fries, keep in mind it doesn't melt when fried, it softens. i find it nicer in the slabs because there is more crust!!! lol!!! had to have shipped from n.y.c. to find!!! no where, anywhere near, where i live had, has or even serves this cheese...most hadn't heard of it!!! it was worth having sent to my home however and i will continue to do so!!! i had to really look to find this cheese looking first around home then at the greek resturants and gourmet shops 3 counties away then finally the internet and i have to say it was worth it!!!!!! p.s. haven't ever given 5 stars and i'm not sure y i haven't but this was close!!

Easy No Bake Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
no peanut butter!!!! my 1st grandchild had an allergy and these are gr8!! i used the recipe almost as is & these were fast, easy and perfect however 2 b safe as the others suggested i cooked sugar mixture 3 min & used a generous 4 cups of oats. the cookies were in no way gooey as others stated and they set up well without refrig!! will try banana pudding wit walnut in the future!! if u like less sugar u could cut back but cookies are known as "sweets" and i did not find these to be overly sweet using the full 2 cups. as others also suggested plenty of milk when enjoying!! definately a keeper!!

Caramel Brownies I

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
GR8!! I DID LEAVE OUT THE NUTS AS MY GRANDSON IS ALLERGIC AND INSTEAD OF MELTING THE CARAMELS, SINCE WAS MAKING IN BITE SIZE I JUST UNWRAPPED AND DROPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FILLED CUPS THEN BAKED THE MINI MUFFIN SIZE 15 MIN. DON'T PUSH DOWN JUST PLACE ON TOP AND THE BROWNIES WILL DO THE REST!! IF U PUSH THEM THEY WILL LEAK THRU TO THE PAPER IF U DON'T THE CANDY IS JUST ENCAPSULATED AND MAKES FOR A NEAT, TASTY BITE SIZE SNACK!!

Holiday Wreaths

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2008
this is a great recipe!!! i add a tsp of vanilla to hide some of the food coloring taste as there is just a hint of it for the discerning palate. it's easy to work with and really i have no problem with it holding together or any of some of the other concerns i've read about here. i've been making holiday treat trays for family and friends for longer than i care to say and this is always a winner for young and old and what an eye catcher!!! my picture is lousy as for color as it was taken with my cell phone at the last minute and will be replaced so u can get a better idea of how outstanding this really looks. i also make these the size of the tray and then fill the middle with a tall round container filled with goodies and wrap that all to go for each guest on our family and friends nite at our house!! each guest leaves with a tray big enough to gain 20#'s or so!! lol!!! for most of them it's the hilight of the evening and they are usually sniffing around them all night to see what they recieved!!!

Starlight Mint Surprise Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2008
this is one of my favorite all time recipes. u will notice that i left out the nuts as my these were made especially for my youngest daughter and she is not that fond of nuts. so to give these a nicer presentation i opted to bake them in a cup in a mini muffin pan and push the mints, broken in half down in the center of the cookies while still very warm! everyone who got them went nuts for them!! this recipe is also a hit in my book for several additional reasons- it is a great recipe for making ahead (weeks at least that i know of) and baking later, for baking, storing (again at least 3 weeks) and making trays later, this one recipe with just a 1/2 c cocoa powder added and peanut butter cups in place of the mints is another of my regulars for holiday trays, and the cookies are great for packing and shipping!! i'll be passing this down to my children with 5 stars!!! 12/13 also u can also in a blender of food proccesor put 3/4 cup chips any flavor (chocolate is my fav) and process into fine bits, mix in, chill for 2 hr, shape dough into 1" balls roll in flaked coconut and bake at 375 for 8-10 min till set and edges begin to brown for chocolate cocnut chews and last but not least, chill dough make 1" balls and roll half in colored sugar then bake and they are festive crackle cookies!! love this recipe!!!!!!!
