Really good. I accidentally froze my dough so I had to defrost it to roll it out and they still came out amazing.

Soft Onion Sandwich Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
These were absolutely fantastic with the Philly Cheesesteak from this site. I made as written with the dried onions but I did top them with sesame seeds instead as I thought there was enough onion flavor going on. I shaped into 6 hoagie rolls and they held up perfectly to the "sloppy" cheesesteaks. I would definitely make these again, and so easy using the bread machine.

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with Garlic Mayo

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
Wow! These were fantastic. I sprinkled some greek seasoning on the raw meat and refridgerated for about 5 hours. I then sauted the peppers, onions and fresh mushrooms until almost done and removed from pan. Added in the meat and cooked for a couple minutes and then added back in the vegetables. Served on homemade Onion Rolls from this site and crumbled some Queso Blanco on top before baking at 500 degrees. Wow, the garlic mayo was fantastic too, just added to all the wonderful flavors. Better than any I've had in a restaurant, that's for sure!!

Light Holiday Tea Cakes

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
These were perfect for a little breakfast. As you can see by the picture, I had to take it with only 2 of those little babies left!! Hubby enjoyed them as much as I did. I didn't have any pineapple so I used 1 cup of cranberries. Quite tasty for being healthy for you!!

This is as close as I can come to my grandmothers recipe for what we call holiday cresents. You guessed it we shaped them into cresents (two bite size). I make one swape for the vegan in the family and use Earth Balance vegan safe spread. Works wonderfuly and no one is left out.

Pleasant Pork Chops

Pleasant is the perfect word for this recipe. The pork chops are tender. The gravy is tasty, but not bland or overpowering. Served it over rice. Perfect dinner and definitely a keeper!

Absolutely wonderful. I used Splenda, no-fat non-dairy creamer, sugar free Nestle Quick, and de-caffienated coffee! Healthy for you and tastes so much better than the already made ones from the store. Thank you for this great recipe, it's going into some of my Christmas baskets!

Mom's Oyster Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
I'm not an oyster fan but my husband is. Not sure why this turned kinda gray as you can see by my picture. He said the flavor was right on but it looked so unappetizing. Thanks for the recipe though, it sure was easy and fast.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
I can only rate the spices on this and I'm going with 4 million stars! I cooked it different I used all as directed in this great recipe... but I used an air cooker. I made the spice rub...applied it, stuffed the bird with the onions... put it in the fridge to set and dry for an hour... then off to the air cooker for 40 minutes. OMG... the best skin, and under the skin moistness and flavor you will experience! The fat is blown off so it's healthy too! Until you use an air cooker, you won't realize how much you are missing or eating... 1 inch of fat at the bottom of the cooker...from one chicken! Eat what you want, but cook for life!

Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
Loved, loved, loved this recipe! I scaled it down to 8 servings, but used the same amount of blue cheese called for in original recipe scale. I also broiled these in the oven instead of grilling. They were excellent! Very flavorful and definitely a keeper! Next time, I will grill them (waiting for warmer weather) and they will be perfect!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
I was a little disappointed in this recipe. I love all things buffalo, and had high hopes for it. I followed the recipe exactly as written and I have to say it was missing something. And even though I'm only rating it three stars, I'd probably make it again, but try to jazz it up a bit. I may butter and toast the rolls and possibly serve it with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and blue cheese or ranch dressing. I'm not going to give up on it just yet, but I'll definitely try and tweak it to our tastes.

Chicken Tortilla Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
This was perfect for my hubby who is non-mexican eater since it was mild but still mexican enough for me! I used queso blanco for the cheese and broiled it for a couple minutes after baking to get that brown crusty cheese. I too used only 1/2 cup of chicken broth and that was plenty. I just layered the 12 tortillas up without cutting them and it turned out just fine. Thank you for posting this recipe Jerri, it's a keeper!

Speedy Homemade Salsa

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
Wow, I thought I loved my local Mexican restaurant's salsa but this definitely rivals theirs. I never thought to use canned tomatoes for a fresh tasting salsa but this works so well it will be my go to for fresh salsa. I did add an extra 1/2 tsp salt.

Jagerschnitzel

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
This was absolutely delicious just as written. I did use egg beaters for the egg and fresh mushrooms and fat-free sour cream, but otherwise followed the recipe. After frying the pork I put in a 200 degree oven to keep warm while frying the onions and mushrooms and simmering in the beef broth. I've never cooked with sourcream that way and I was very pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. My husband spent 5 years in Germany and I wanted to surprise him with this meal. He said it was exactly what he remembered and he kept saying while eating it.. man, you got this one right!! That's high praise from my picky hubby. I did make french fries to go with as that is what is served in Germany. This will definitely go into my menu rotation. Thank you DSPIRAL73 for this wonderful recipe.
