Chicken Avocado Pizza

This turned out fantastic! We had left overs and they were fantastic the next day too! Did not make any changes this time around, however next time I think I will add some fresh sliced onions on top. Again, absolutely wonderful.

Kickin' London Broil with Bleu Cheese Butter

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I have never cooked a London broil before, so I was a little hesitant about overcooking it. I followed the directions exactly as written and the meat turned out fantastic. I had to increase the rub recipe a bit and added a smidgen more cayenne, but other than that everything stayed the same. My husband, my guest and I enjoyed it so much that we managed to consume the entire 3 lbs I prepared and were still craving more. My only warning is, the blue cheese can be a bit overpowering, be careful that you don't go over the recommended amount in the recipe. All in all a wonderful, simple, quick, and delicious recipe everyone should try. Kudos to the chef!

Goldenrod Eggs

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
I just made this and it turned out fantastic. I added about 2 tablespoons shredder cheddar to give it a cheesier taste. Next time I'll try serving it over some sliced prosciutto, bacon, or ham to see how that tastes. I can only imagine that it will be wonderful.

Oat Bran Muffins

Reviewed: May 8, 2008
I will give it a five because they are what I expected they would be: full of fiber and flavor. I used only whole wheat flour, brown sugar added a little bit more since my apple sauce was unsweetened. I also added like two more tbsp. of oil...

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
Best muffins ever! I used oil, one cup of whole wheat flour + regular flour, all brown sugar, added nuts, and didn't need the topping. TIP: I used single muffins(no need for tin) foil paper. GREAT IDEA! No mess, no need for cleaning after! Loooove it!!!

Double-Cheese Eggs Benedict

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
My husband and I have loved this recipe since I first tried it. This weekend we were a little rushed, so I tried something different and it worked out great. For a quick breakfast, I cut up the Canadian bacon and cooked it in some scrambled eggs. I crumbled the bacon into the sauce just before serving. Then I just served it all on some wheat toast. Much quicker to make and just as delicious.

Turkey Mercedes

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2007
I made this for my husband and mines first thanksgiving and everyone LOVED it! It was the juiciest and savory-est turkey anyone had ever had. Believe it or not, the white meat was juicier than the dark! Like I said, this was my first thanksgiving cooking, so I stayed true to the recipe. It found that it was simple to follow and simple to make. The only difficulty was figuring out what kind of stuffing to use. My suggestion - use a basic stuffing (boxed even), but put only half in the turkey. The amount in the turkey will have a strong lemon flavor. Mix it with the left over stuffing for a mild complementary side that will delight everyone!

Ashley's Chicken Katsu with Tonkatsu Sauce

Quick and easy to make. The sauce was a bit too tangy for my taste, though. Using sweet and sour sauce for a dip sweetened it up.

Simple Scones

Very good flavor. I used golden raisins. Don't omit the sugar on top of them right before baking. I used brown coarse sugar and cinammon. Also substitute 1 and 1/2 of the regular flour for whole wheat. Grandioso!!!

Bev's Chocolate Pie

For me, this was way too sweet even when I reduced the sugar to 1 1/2 cups. The sweetness was so overpowering, that the chocolate flavor simply disappear. I wouldn't try this recipe again.

Grilled Eggplant, Tomato and Goat Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2007
I gave it a five because it's easy to prepare, and I love goat cheese. My diet doesn't allow me to eat carbs, so this was perfect for me. Very tasty, wonderfull idea. TIP: If you can prepare them in a panini maker, it would be easier. Grill the eggplant separate first. Put them together at the end with the tomatoes also. Love it, love it, love it...

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2007
I am always looking for recipes where I can add whole wheat flour to. This was one of them. I added more oats. Changed the white sugar for splenda. TIP: Instead of fork to mark the cookies, I used a meat pounder, the rough side, of course.

London Broil II

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2007
This recipe was pretty good. i didn't have any garlic so i just used a few teaspoons of garlic powder. i used the full recipe, even though i had half the meat but there still wasn't that much of the marinade left. I loved how it didn't take too much time or too many dishes to make.

Tortilla Espanola

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2007
I give this recipe 4 points because I think it's using too much potatoes. I love the idea of frying the potatoes more than boiling. Don't think you have to deepfrying them. Use enough oil to make them look shiny in the pan. Use mid to hing temperature and lower it when potatoes are golden. Add amounts of onions, and fry till they look clear and starting to burn a little. They should be crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. Lower your temperature when pouring the eggs. A burned tortilla doesn't have a good flavor. Never over cook it. Let it slowly love the pan and remove it right before it's completely done. The warmness remaining will do the trick of a cooked but still tender tortilla. ENJOY!!!

A Jerky Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2007
Different! I think I'm going to have to make this a few more times and get used to the flavor. It's good, just... different! I did follow the suggestions and doubled the marinade, and marinated the chicken for 24 hours. Used half a jalapeno and a quarter of a habenero, and the spice came out perfect.
