This is a great tasting frosting. I like that it isn't too sweet. I substituted butter for the margerine, substituted 1 cup cocoa powder for 1 cup of the powdered sugar, and added a couple of drops of Peppermint Extract. It tasted like 'Peppermint Patty' icing. Try this variation if you like chocolate/mint together! This is my new go-to recipe for basic buttercream. With the addition of any extract (just a couple of drops) the possibilities are limitless.
