Acapulco Margarita Grouper

Submitted by: Bill Echols
Sea bass or any firm-fleshed fish may be used if grouper is not available. The grilled fish and fresh salsa are terrific when served with grilled corn and margaritas.

I took my grandmother's basic, but delicious, recipe and improved it. Very creamy and cheesy! Unlike any you've ever tasted!! Well worth the prep time. Get all the ingredients together first and it will be a cinch to prepare.

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

Submitted by: URBANCHICK
This recipe closely approximates a recipe introduced by an Italian woman. She has since passed away and taken her recipes with her, as she had nothing written down. It combines thin strips of chicken breast in a lemon butter sauce with bacon, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, and capers; served over bowtie pasta.

Amelia's Tuna Macaroni Salad

Submitted by: Peach822
Macaroni, tuna, celery, onion and peas are bathed in a creamy dressing, then garnished with hard-cooked eggs and a sprinkle of paprika. This macaroni salad will remind you of Grandma's. I love this when the weather is warm. One of the basic comfort foods!

American Lasagna

Submitted by: Rosemary Stoker
Lasagna appeals to the eye as well as to the taste buds. Here, ground beef, onion, garlic, basil, tomatoes and a dash of brown sugar make up the sauce, while ricotta, Parmesan, mozzarella, eggs and parsley are the filling for this layered casserole. Prepare up to 2 days in advance, if desired, and chill covered in the refrigerator until ready to bake. Increase the baking time by about 15 minutes.

For this delight of a pie, a 9 x 13-inch pie pan gets filled with apple pie filling and topped with yellow cake mix. The butter drizzled on top makes sure that this moist, sweet cake comes out rich and golden.

Grandmas from all around can be proud of this unique recipe that brings fabulous results. Sliced apples are mounded in a prepared pie shell, covered with a latticed crust, and just before slipping into the oven, doused with a sugary butter syrup.

Moist and spicy bar cookies with frosting. An easy and quick after school snack. Also goes great at carry-ins and bake sales. You can also just sprinkle with confectioners sugar instead of frosting.
