Apple Coffee Cake With Brown Sugar Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2007
I followed reccomendations of others... heavy on apples, easy on the sugar, and reduce either the temperature or the cooking time. Without the sauce, it was a moist cake-like concoction. The caremely nuts on the bottom were a nice treat. Overall, it wasn't anything incredible. It is a good cake for people who like a more delicate, less sweet cake. I'll try it one more time with the sauce.

Never Enough Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2006
This was not only delicious, but versatile! We enjoyed the casserole on Christmas, and then I added some more veggies, chicken, velveeta, french fried onions, and cream of chicken soup together to the leftovers, topped it with a pie crust and had the BEST POT PIE ever. This was a HUGE hit on Christmas!

This was tasty, but not my favorite dish. My guests seemed to enjoy it, but it wasn't inhaled. I think I would like it better with Feta. I also added Craisins for a little extra sweetness. ;o)

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

If I could give this more stars, I would! This was SOOOO delish! We made it for a dinner party appetizer, and it was gone....and that is during the e-coli spinach scare! hahaha So that says a lot! My 2 year old kept snatching the spoon and eating it scooping up huge amounts into his mouth! Thanks so much for this recipe, it is a keeper!

Chicken David

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2006
This was tasty, but odd at the same time. My husband and I liked it more AFTER a few bites. My 2 year old loved it...but then, he loves salami. ;o) I doubled the sauce recipe since a lot of people wished there was more, and it was good to have the extra sauce for serving it over the angel hair pasta I made. My husband said, "Give it a 4", so I did. :o)

Cheesy Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
I don't know if I should be giving this 5 stars only because I made so many changes. I used leftover rotisserie chicken, frozen mixed veggies, a whole 8z block of shredded sharp chedder (we love cheese here), and made the bisqick top (1 cup bisquick, 1/2 cup milk, 1 egg 400 degrees for 30 minutes) It was extremely quick and easy! I would have like the traditional pie top, but I didn't have time to make it (*read to small children under my feet :o) ). I did make the mistake of adding some milk to the final mixture because it looked too thick, but I should have left it alone. Mine was just a little too runny, but still delish. My two year old LOVED it! Thanks

Baked Dijon Salmon

AMAZING! Unbelievably delicious! I got such rave reviews on this, that I felt like a gourmet chef! I made it with orginal grey poupon, and served it with steamed broccoli and cous cous! I, too, used the panko bread crumbs for a little extra crunch. Big, huge, hit! I wish there were leftovers to eat today. *sigh*

Delicious! I made this tonight for a dinner party, and everyone loved it! I added yellow squash, zucchini, and omitted the butternut squash. I doubled the sauce since it seemed like I had A LOT of veggies! Will definately make again! Thanks! ETA: I food processed the leftovers, and put it on a sandwich with goat cheese, and shredded chicken, it was soooo good!:o)

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2006
I altered this quite a bit, and I am glad I did otherwise I don't think the meat itself would have had enough flavor. I followed the reciped, but instead of saltines, I used 1 1/2 cups of crushed cheez-its. (you need more to thicken the loaf, otherwise it was a huge ball of mush) I added about 1/2 cup shredded chedder cheese. I doubled the ginger, and lessened the brown sugar. I think I should have halved the brown sugar and ketchup as it was WAY too sweet. My two year old and I liked it, but my husband thought it was too sweet. The meatloaf itself was yummy, flavorful and moist.
