Such a tasty and different recipe. So simple and quick to make. We used baby portabella mushrooms, yummy!

Beijinho de Coco (Coconut Little Kiss)

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
These are delicious! Made for my Brazilian husband and he couldn't get enough. The recipe was easy to follow and simple. I sprayed Pam on my hands and had no problems with sticky hands.

Brigadeiro

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
Decided to make these for my Brazilian hubby. They had bit of a learning curve to make but they were more than edible. The instructions are not clear so make sure you read the other reviews to help with the steps. I used Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa and rolled them in the cocoa at the end. So good. Can not wait to try again!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2008
With the econ, I am trying to use everything in the fridge and waste nothing. So with sour cream, 3 bananas, and 2 eggs around, I gave this recipe a try. Perfectly moist! I made a few changes such using 3 bananas instead of 2, added cinnamon, and used 1c all-purpose flour & 1/2C whole wheat! I did not have walnuts so I can not wait to try this with nuts.

Italian Herb Bread I

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2008
What a great treat! This is a simply robust bread packed with flavor! I modified just a couple of ingredients. I added rosemary, substituted parmesan, & substituted all-purpose flour. I made my in two 9x5 loaf pan since this bread is more of a hearty dipping bread I would shape it free-form into a loaf or even a a delicious round bread! Great to freeze and give as a hostess gift wrapped in a linen napkin with a bottle of wine!

Honey Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2008
Perfect for a busy night dinner. I used orange blossom honey and added an extra TBSP and it was a little too sweet. I believe clover honey is best suited for this dish.

Easy Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2008
A nice basic meat sauce. Unfortunately, I realized out half way through that I was out of tomato paste and had to use tomato sauce and it still came out tasty. I added 3 cloves of fresh garlic, fresh onions, and used whole wheat pasta.

Acapulco Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2008
Terrific dish! I omitted the jalapenos, hot sauce & the 1/2 Tbsp chili pepper and added 1/2 cup of sour cream and 2 cloves of garlic! Delicious! There are so many options with this dish. I think next we will try with tortillas and cheese. Looking forward to trying it!

Grandmas Chicken Chardon

We loved this dish! Such a great comfort food! I cooked at 375 degrees for 45 mins and it came out perfectly cooked, nice & moist. This is usually impossible! Thanks grandma!
