Award Winning Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
this is the best chili me and my husband have ever had. I added a few of my own ingrediants: diced sweet pickles, green onions, garlic salt, chili powder, sweet corn, and an extra chili season packet for a little more flavor.. I topped it with freshly grated parm cheese.. It was GREAT!

This is sooo good.. and simple.. I ended up squeezing a whole lemon into it. I really think that made a huge difference... loved it!

Deb's Scallops Florentine

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
This is so good. One warning though. It is very heavy. A little bit on your plate takes you a very long way.. I tripled the recipe and ended up making way to much.. I froze one portion of it that was not baked. GREAT holiday recipe! thanks Deb!

Easy Sausage Cheese Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
These are good if you dr. em up a little.. I ended up adding eggs to the mixture to make em stick... I froze the majority of them for two different parties... they were still just as great.. i got a lot of compliments off them and they were gone by the end of the night.

Pumpkin Roll II

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
This was mostly a great recipe. My biggest complaint was that the cake was sticking to the linen cloth and also cracked in several places. It was also a little too cake-like(too dry). The filling was wonderful though!

Southern Style Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2006
AWARD WINNING!The Dumplings really made this recipe. They were easy to make and if you treat the dough like pie dough and don't over mix, they come out sooooo tender. I cooked the chicken budget style: Frozen breasts with just a little chicken broth, black pepper and a bay leaf. Those of you who said the lemon gave it a funny flavor, should make sure your chicken is simmering and that the lemon is only in for about 30 minutes. The only thing I would change about this recipe is the directions stating to serve immediately. I let it rest and the broth thickened on its own within 30 minutes. It was even better the next day.
