White Chocolate and Cranberry Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
I have been making these every year at xmas since I found the recipe here. They are amazing! Everyone loves them. I would have to say DO NOT substitute vanilla, the result will be a totally different cookie. Go to the liquor store and just get a tiny airplane bottle of brandy for $1. It's well worth the trip. Also, these have a shelf life of about 2 days and then they get dry. Don't make them too far in advance unless you are going to freeze them right away.

Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
I was debating whether I should make this because I wasn't sure if I would like the flavor combo. I made it, and I'm so glad I did. The cinnamon/beef flavor is unique, but it somehow goes together really well.

Great tasting bread! I used 1 cup whole wheat flour instead of all unbleached flour, and sunflower seeds instead of walnuts. I'm glad I waited a day for the full flavor development!

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
Perfect. I didn't have lemon cake mix but I had lemon poppy seed bread mix and I then used that and followed your recipie. It was wonderful and I put some on each plate that I am giving to people who help us out during the year. (You know those same people....they plow your driveway, deliver your oil/gas, bring wood for winter, and delivery hubby's oxygen). It is festive and super, easy and fast to create. Thank you so very much for sharing it with all of us. It is a keeper in my home. Merry Christmas.

Manhattan Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
We like this pretty well! I have made this 2-3 times already. I use diced potatoes instead of sliced. Also, I would suggest not putting the clams in the pot until closer to the time of the soup being done as they tend to get a little rubbery after being in there so long. This is, all in all, a nice chowder for days when you are too busy to mess with making soup! :)

These turned out great! I opted to use green colored icing in place of the coconut because they were for my nephews 10th birthday and I wanted to make sure everyone would enjoy them. They were very easy to put together and the hit of the party! :)

Rainbow Cookies

These are one of my favorite cookies EVER! While they are time consuming, the end result is way worth it. I also add some heavy cream and butter to the chocolate to make sort of a ganache, so it sets up nicely, but when I cut into them the chocolate doesn't crack. These are absolutely divine! :)

Easy Skillet Ravioli

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
This is the same recipe that I found in a newspaper several years ago. I make this on a regular basis. It is so-o-o easy and very, very good. My kids LOVE it. The only thing that I have changed is that I use mini ravioli's and I don't use Ragu spaghetti sauce. I use whichever sauce I find on sale. The picture that is posted with this recipe does not look anything like this dish.

I never want to make any other mac and cheese! Once I got over the fact that I could still see the curds from the cottage cheese (don't just expect them to go away like I did!) this was an amazing dish.

No Time to Cook Chicken

This was good with a few changes. I did add salt, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. I used a can of cream of chicken instead of the cream of celery. Also, I added a bag of frozen broccoli florets at the end. Served over rice.
