BAKER'S ONE BOWL Million Dollar Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
Tastes amazing - give that 5 stars! But OH MY! I guess if you are used to making fudge you might find this easy - but as a novice, I found it incredibly hard! First, it took way longer than 5 minutes for the candy thermometer to reach 232 degrees. Then it seems like the melting chocolate got thick too quickly. And OMG! How the heck do you get the Fluff out of the jar! I'm exhausted!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
Delicious! I followed several peoples advice and added a can of golden muchroom soup, fresh sauteed mushrooms and browned them a bit longer. I baked for 30 min without the sauce and 30 min with the sauce and it came out perfect. Thanks for the recipe.

Lemon Mushroom Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
Made just as the recipe stated and it was AMAZING. I made a pot of noodles to pour the leftover sauce on just so I wouldn't waste it. the only suggestion I have is to halve the flour mixture. I had about half left over. Thanks Valerie for the great recipe.

Incredibly easy and incredibly flavorful. I made the chicken, removed it, then made the sauce in the same pan. Saved dishes in the long run. Wonderful!

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: May 24, 2009
Took a cheap cut of meat and made it phenomenal. Didn't have garlic powder so I used minced garlic, marinaded for only about 5 hours, grilled it and it turned out great. I'll definitely use this one again.

Tomato Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
Like the others - I tweaked the recipe too! I only needed about 4 servings, so...sauteed the onion in olive oil since I used pre-cooked bacon - 1 can chicken broth, 1 can CREAMED corn, 1 can diced tomatoes (undrained), 1 can whole potatoes drained and diced - salt and pepper to taste - then added the bacon in the last few minutes of warming. Yummy, fast and inexpensive!

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

Very simple recipe. It's very easy to make as well as very easy to spruce up. I think this is a perfect dish for beginners. I added some vegetarian bacon, white pepper, and substituted sweet relish with chopped dill pickle. I also used a sweet mustard instead, this dish always does well at family functions.

Pumpkin Bean Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
I found this exact recipe on Recipezaar and love it! Although that recipe did not call for cilantro - it called for 1 tsp. curry, 1 1/2 tsp cumin and 1/2 tsp cayenne - I would knock the cayenne back to 1/4 though...it was pretty spicy!! And I made it with fresh pumpkin - takes a little time to cut, peel, boil and mash the pumpkin - but tasted great and a nice way to use pumpkins this fall!

So simple and delicious. I've made them twice, per the recipe and they were perfect. 30 minutes cooking time is best (for gas grill). One tip: double the foil to make flipping much easier, without ripping the foil.

Really great! I too doubled the sauce...and added some chopped red cabbage to the spinach stuffing. Everyone raved about it...and it filled the house with an amazing aroma! Definitely adding it to my favorites :)

Delicious. My family is not a fan of tomatoes and loved it. Worcestershire flavor kind of overpowers, so maybe cut down a bit. Other that that, it was easy and great.

I also doubled the sauce, but evidently I am no good at "boiling down". Everything else was great. I just need to work on sauce making. Family favorite.

Almond-Topped Fish

I made it according to the recipe with Cod filets (instead of the Haddock) and left off the almonds cause I didn't have them and it still got rave reviews from the folks I had over. I served it over angel hair with a bit of olive oil and garlic. I'll make it again and again.
