Pumpkin Maple Pie Supreme

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
I was slightly disappointed in this pie. After reading many of the reviews, I expected to eat the entire pie non-stop. Luckily for my rear end, I didn't because I lost interest after the first few bites. I made as is (no mods) and found the spices to be a little much. I didn't taste the maple until after I was done eating! I will try this again and back off the spices.

Oatmeal Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
MMM, delicious!! I subbed 2 cups of wheat flour for 2 cups of all purpose and it made them all the more delicious. A note about the time posted for this recipe: they will NOT be ready in an hour start to finish. They take about 3 hours, but about 2 of those are rise time. They're absolutely worth the time and effort though!

Cranberry Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
had all of the tartness of cranberries with no redeeming qualities. I made it exactly as written. I thought that since I so enjoy both cranberry sauce and pot roast this would be perfect, but it wasn't even edible. Wasted delicious homemade sauce and a fairly expensive cut of meat.

Insanely Amazing Jalapeno Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
I made this dip as written and give it 4 stars because it doesn't match it's title. The dip was very good and had zero leftovers but the title gave me the picture of people huddling around the dipping barely being able to say, "Oh my god this stuff is insane!!" between bites. That didn't happen .... I think it needs a mixture of cream cheese and sour cream in place of the mayo. Possibly a shot of Tabasco too.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

DA BOMB!! These quench any sweet tooth ... plus cause some major cavities! Made as written and baked for 40 minutes in 13x9 pan. At first I thought they were undercooked, but after cooling they were fudgey. These are twice a good a day later.

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

The cream cheese didn't work out for me at all, but I would make them again without it for sure! I might add brown sugar instead of white to the batter next time.

OMG...this is delicious!! I subbed real maple syrup for the corn syrup and the whole kitchen smelled delish when it was cooking. I think that this would be another great Christmas morning goodie! We didn't have problems getting the leftovers out of the pan. Reheated them the next day in the microwave! Try this...it's great!!!!

Sweet and Crunchy Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
This is an excellent salad! You don't need to soak the noodles as long as it says...they get softer when they are added to the salad plus the dressing. The first time I made it I followed the recipe exactly. The next time, I cut the seasoning package down a little to cut the sodium. It is worth trying!

This is excellent! I mixed all of the ingredients in a ziploc then threw the tenderloins in the bag and threw it all in the frig overnight. Only had to grill it to complete my meal the next day. It was yummy! The leftovers are delish as well. Could use them on a salad ;)!

The list of ingredients may look a little over powering but I have to say, the end result is very good. We dipped veggies in it and could have used it on baked potatoes. Also a great salad dressing.

Easy Spinach Lasagna with White Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
I used 2 envelopes of KNOORS Alfredo sauce mix. I cooked 1 medium onion chopped, 2 cloves of minced garlic, with about 8 oz. of sliced mushrooms and a cup of chopped carrots in evoo until tender. I then added +/- 8 cups of fresh spinach and cooked it until wilted. I drained the liquid off before adding to the lasagna. I also used 1 1/2cups cheese. It was a nice change from reg. red lasagna.
