Coq Au Vin, My Way

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
This was delicious, lots of work. I used baby bellas instead of portabellas. The store I shop at only had huge bottles of burgundy, so I used a red wine I had on hand. The only thing was my sauce was a little runny. Which is strange since I added more cheese then what the recipe called for, I did use the cornstarch. Maybe I will increase the amount next time. It tasted great the next day as leftovers, I served mashed potatoes and green beans.

Hot Mexican Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
This was a big hit at our superbowl party! I omitted the milk. Next time I will maybe use half the amount required, since it was a little thick.

Beef and Potato Nacho Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
This was so yummy, I made it twice and tweaked it to my taste. I omitted the beans, green peppers and green chiles. I'm not a fan. I also added an extra taco packet and can of the nacho cheese soup to the ground beef. 15 minutes before the time was up I sprinkled a shredded Mexican cheese blend on top, and continued to bake. Also we ate it rolled in flour tortillas with sour cream. Soooo good.

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
This was a great recipe, I followed some of the reviewers tips. Including marinating the meat in red wine, adding garlic, worstershire, medium yellow onion, I used fresh mushrooms, and added cream cheese. It still could have had some more flavor. Next time I will add some more spice to the meat.

Cheese Lover's Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
This was a descent recipe. I had to increase the amount of macaroni, It did not seem like enough. I cut the cheese in half and used french fried onions instead of croutons.

Layered Chicken and Black Bean Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
This was a nice casserole recipe, I used too much sour cream. Next time I would use a little more spice or flavor on the chicken. I will make it again.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
Simply delicious! I used 2 cans of beef broth and 1 can of stewed tomatoes, omitted the celery, thickend the broth slightly at end of cooking time with some cornstarch. Otherwise, I followed the original recipe- very easy to prepare! Thanks for sharing a great recipe. I will definitely make this again.

Snickerdoodles I

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
Tastes just like mother's snickerdoodles she used to make every Christmas. Thanks for a great recipe! I took the advice of others on here and only baked mine at 375 for 8 mins. - perfect! Also, only dipped the tops in the cinnamon sugar so the sugar wouldn't burn on the bottoms.

Slow Cooker Chicken with Mushroom Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
This was such an easy recipe, I might try adding sour cream, and fresh garlic next time. It was a little bland. But overall we liked it, we served it over rice.

Pecan Chicken Breasts Stuffed with Cream Cheese and Broccoli

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2007
This was delicious!! I didn't have bread crumbs, I think it would have made a big difference. I omitted the pimentos, not my favorite. I added some crushed red pepper to the cheese mixture for a little punch. Also I should have finely chopped my pecans. I skipped the pan frying and just baked it. All in all, my boyfriend and I loved it!

Chicken Enchilada Casserole I

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
We loved this recipe..I made it for my boyfriend. He wanted it again the following weekend! I left out the green chiles since the tomatoes had chiles. Also I was not sure if cheese spread was cream cheese? I used Mexican shredded cheese...it was great!!

Fudge Brownies I

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2007
They are fantastic.I was looking for something quick and easy, this fits the bill for sure.I only used 3 eggs and I cut back on the sugar to 1 3/4 cups...I know its not much but it made them not sooo sweet. They are very soft on the inside and cooking for 33 minutes they came out purfect! I will save this recipe and make them again for sure...

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: May 31, 2007
This recipes make the most delicious and moist muffins I have ever tasted. We are big muffin fans and I have tried several recipes and this is the best thus far.I added some honey and some cinnamon and some vanilla like some other reviews had said...and that just added more flavor, not that they need much doctor-ing! I have made these 2 times in the past week, the 1st was to try it and the 2nd time was to use up the bananas AND my family asked for more!!! 5 stars all the way.
