Italian Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: May 25, 2012
Very good. Not hard to make. Everybody in my house liked it which is rare. They said the house smelt incredible when I was cooking the tomato mixture. I didn't have any garlic salt I use garlic powder (I eyeballed it) and add a little salt. Will definatley make again.

Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: May 25, 2012
I finally decided to rate this as I have been making it a couple of years now. Everyone I give a loaf to ( I make Mini Loaves) wants the recipe. My sister in law loves for me to make her muffins as she can take them on the road with her (she is a truck driver). I omit the nuts as there are alot of people who are allergic to nuts, but they don't seem to miss what they don't know about.

Best Cream of Potato Soup

Wow!!!!! we loved this soup. Used leftover coconut milk(1/2 cup) and whole milk. red potatoes and red wine. (all I had in the house). Cayenne pepper gave it a kick that we loved. Used my soup blender to combine all the flavors.

Their is to much liquid . The patties wouldn't form so I had to put breadcrumbs in it. The end result was nice and tender, but tasted like meatloaf.

Spicy Orange Zest Beef

Reviewed: May 21, 2012
I used a wok to cook this recipie, cooking the top sirloin first for 1 min. each side, setting the meat aside, I cooked the green onions, added the meat back into the wok with green beans and sweet peppers for color and interest. Added the marinade towards the very end, as not to stew the ingredients. Very good, only a hint of orange, used less brown sugar. I think I will increase the chili paste, as this wasn't quite hot enough for me. It was nothing like any chinese dish I have ever had, whether 'authentic' or not.

Bread Pudding

Reviewed: May 17, 2012
I bought a chocolate babka at a bake sale last weekend, we were going to bring it for mothers day breakfast but forgot it at home. I saw it sitting in the fridge and knew it had to be used or thrown away and I immediately thought to make a bread pudding. This was the first time I've made one and we sure were not disappointed. This was super easy to put together, I ended up having enough to fill a 9x13 Pyrex dish so I baked it in a water bath in my sheet cake pan. I have to admit in was a little worried about the sauce with the cup of sugar, butter and cream but it really topped off the bread pudding perfectly. Delicious!

Wish I could give this recipe more stars. Easy to make and made a wonderful change as a side dish! My daughter and son-in-law loved it. They ate almost the whole thing and said over and over how much they loved it! Leftovers taste even better. Followed recipe exactly, no changes. Thanks for sharing.

Italian Sausage Lasagna

Reviewed: May 13, 2012
This was my first time making lasagna, I always wanted to try it and finally did. I followed the directions but used chicken instead of Italian Sausage, my mistake but my daughter is on a diet and wanted to try chicken. It was okay, but I think I would prefer the sausage. So next time I will. Thanks for sharing.

Pretty good. Very filling though with all that cheese and butter. To make matters worse I doubled that recipe and there are only 2 of us. We will be even more overweight after we eat the leftovers for 3 more meals. Next time I think I will try a different one.
