Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed on Jul. 9, 2009 by giggletush
If you love a baked potato w/ sour cream on it than you'll love this recipe. We don't... I followed the recipe almost exactly, I added 2 tbs of garlic b/c we LOVE garlic and it still could of used more garlic. For me, all I could taste was the sour cream. Those who love that taste loved these potatoes but that was only 2 out of 9 people. I was looking for a more garlic mashed potato like you get at a resturant. BUT I did Love the fact that you can use the slow cooker and I will do that in the future w/ a different recipe and I also took others suggestion to put a dish cloth over the crock pot before you put on the lid to help catch condensation and that worked great! This was a very easy recipe to do and I can definatly see how this would come in handy on a busy holiday.

Favorite Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed on Jul. 1, 2009 by giggletush
I have a recipe that I alwasy use and it's sweeter than this recipe. This definatly had more of a peanuty taste. The only changes I made was I used half creamy peanut butter and half chunky peanut butter b/c I like the peanut chunks in the cookie. I also used sugar to dip my fork in instead of the flour and I only cooked it for 9 mins.. 12 min was definatly too long in my oven I almost burnt my first batch. I like softer cookies and 9 mins was PERFECT! I personally like the sweeter recipe but these are definatly good too. I will keep this recipe in my collection for those who like thiers more peanuty. Thanks!

Berry-Glazed Chocolate Cake

Reviewed on Jun. 23, 2009 by giggletush
This was a pretty good recipe. First off I didn't have the right pan so we just used a 13x9 inch pan. It worked just fine but I can definatly see how this would of been beautiful if I did have the right pan. My nephew wanted to bake something for the first time and he came across this and wanted to try it, he made the entire thing himself and it was very easy to make. We only put the raspberry glaze on half the cake b/c a few people didn't even want to try it when they heard there was a raspberry glaze BUT I made everyone try a small piece w/ the glaze and everyone liked it including my picky one... It's not an overwhelming raspberry taste, it actually goes well w/ the choc glaze. If I didn't tell anyone it was on there no one would of noticed. My nephew even poked holes in the cake where the glaze was so the glaze would seep into the cake alittle. He LOVED this recipe! A few people thought it tasted good but was alittle dry... You definatly need a big glass of milk w/ it. We'll definatly be making this again as soon as I buy the right kind of pan! THANKS!
