I made the recipe exactly as written and I could not have been happier. I am usually one to make changes to a recipe but this was spot on. DELICIOUS.

Amish Friendship Chocolate Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
Oh my goodness! This is awesome. Made the following additions: 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips, 1 Tablespoon cocoa powder and 3/4 Tablespoon instant espresso powder. Absolutely the best!!! Going to bake several loaves and put them in the freezer as I know regular Amish Friendship Bread is delicious after it is frozen. Happy Baking Everyone!!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
This review is from my husband and 4 year old son as I don't eat meat :) They went crazy for it! I only made 2 chicken breasts and scaled down the sauce...Next time I will make all the sauce it calls for because i had to keep adding water to keep it from burning. But anyway...It smelled CRAZY good and when I took it out of the crock pot it just fell apart! I also made this last week with my cast iron pan because I forgot to start it earlier - the only thing I changed was I used fresh chicken not frozen and didn't cook it as long. Thanks!

Orzo with Tomato and Fried Tofu

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2009
i think this is a good base recipe. As is I found it kind of bland. I think maybe a light dressing (olive oil, white wine vinegar & lemon) would help give it more flavor. And next time I think I'll use half the orzo...just too much for me...

Artichoke Chicken

I didn't eat this personally (i'm a vegetarian) ...but i can tell you it smelled AMAZING and my 4 year old son and husband went nuts for it! I used Romano cheese rather than parmesan because thats what I keep in the house.

This was really good! I did make some minor changes - I used whole wheat pita, HERBED goat cheese, i didn't have any sun dried tomatoes so I used artichoke hearts instead. Very simple and yummy!

SO GOOD! I used stawberry preserves and apricot preserves...They were delicious and simple to make....You can't mess these up! Very light and just the perfect amount of sweet! They were a huge hit at last nights Christmas party and i will be making more with my 3 year old son tonight!

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
I've never been a very good cookie baker UNTIL now. This recipe is so easy and so delicious. I could no believe the results. The only change I made was that I did not have chocolate chips...go figure...BUT I had a huge bag of dark chocolate, plain M&M's and these were an absolute hit! Thank you for this recipe. I can't wait to make these cookies for my nieces and nephews.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
This was a little bland. I used the garlic alfredo sauce, which i regret. it didn't have a great flavor to begin with. i also added extra garlic, which i thought would make it pop - but eh. it needed salt. i also added a touch of nutmeg, which did give it a nice hint of flavor. this was good, but next time ill use a high end alfredo sauce and add some additional salt. presentation was good.

Leek Potato Mushroom Cheddar Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
Yum! Yum! Yum! I added all of my veggies on the first step, including some chopped up brocolli and an onion. I also used a submersion blender at the very end to puree the soup slightly, which gave it a thicker texture. I cut back on the cheese, and still, this was a winner!!

Avocado Feta Salsa

This was a great appetizer - I made it for Mother's Day, and again for a graduation party and it was a hit each time. Now I have people making special requests for me to bring it along to all parties! I think I once omitted the Oregano and Paresly and just added Cilantro - it was still really tasty. Thanks for the recipe!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies IV

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2008
I followed the recipe to the letter and the cookies taste wonderful. The only change i would make is to double the recipe and make much bigger cookies. The teaspoon size is very small and when i thin of these cookies, i picture nice big ones. Other than that these are delicious and get a very pretty golden brown...just don't leave in a minute too long or they get too brown!

Easy, delish and beautiful. THe perfect thing for a cocktail party. I even forgot to put in the vanilla and they were still fabulous. I split the recipe and used 1 cp. semi sweet chips and 1/2 cp. cinnamon chips in one batch and for the other batch i used 1 cp semi and 1/2 cp dark chocolate chips. WONDERFUL!

Au Gratin Potatoes II

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2008
Pretty darn good! I used cream of mushroom (didn't have the celery) and added cooked bacon. It tasted like a loaded baked potato. A wonderful change from the normal potato side dish. The texture was a little thick - so next time ill thin it out - just a tad - with some milk. I also didn't use the corn flakes - i just didn't feel it needed them.

My sister made this for Super Bowl Sunday and it is indeed delicious. She eliminated the onions and olives due to the kids not liking them but it was still awesome. I will add the onions and olives back in when I make it. So quick and easy!
