Kerry's French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2008
I thought it was phenominal, my bride said 'very tasty' but she is not a huge allspice fan. I cut the recipe in half and even cut down more on the allspice. I had PLENTY for 3 sandwiches and could've made 4. Served it with powdered sugar (see pic) and sliced strawberries. The possibilities are endless. I think we will next try the cream cheese mixed with peanut butter and mini chocolate chips. Mabye then the kids will eat french toast. This is a wonderful breakfast grilled cheese type sandwich and would be perfect at a brunch!!

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
I can't say that there was anything 'unbelievable' with this. It was good but I definitely expected more after an 8hr. marinate. The amount of sugar made controlling grilling flare ups tricky.

These were definitely a hit. Used ketchup in lieu of tomato paste as others suggested. A sprinkle of black pepper while on the grill was good !!

Tortellini Alfredo

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
This dish was excellent. It is quick, easy and, best of all, tasty. The first time I made it I skimped on the peas (only had a handful on hand) and had no mushrooms. I cannot wait to add the full amount of peas. My son missed it and ate it warmed the next day and pronounced it a "make-again!" Serve it with freshly grated Parm and a nice salad. Enjoy.

I made them to serve 20+ at Easter. What a huge hit!! My niece even took 3 home with her and the next day my daughter woke up and wanted leftovers. Time consuming, but easily made up the day before & reheated. Great Recipe!!

Ultimate Maple Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
Wow this was a good cookie!!! I used 1/4 cup of maple syrup instead of 2 tbsps, and I used a mixture of white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg for the maple sugar mix since I didn't have any maple sugar. This cookie is so delicious!!! I'll definitely make it again.

Another Great simple recipe !! We only marinated for about 30 minutes due to time constraints. When you are still raving about what you ate 5 hours later, It must be great !! This and the Basil Shrimp (allrecipes) are super dishes.

Chicken Fried Chicken

WOW !! I was a fried chicken failure until this. Simple and excellent. Next time I would definitely add more black pepper. I put the chicken in the fridge for about 20 minutes after breading so that it would stick and they came out beautiful. I wish I had taken pictures. A definite Do-Over

Accordion Rye Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
It took me a while to remember what an accordion looks like and to understand how exactly to fold the dough, but once I did, making the bread rolls was just as fun as eating them! I made twenty-seven small rolls from this recipe. Next time I'll make larger ones. I used whole wheat flour in place of the all-purpose and decreased that by half a cup. Then I added a quarter cup of wheat gluten to help it rise better. And I substituted yogurt for the butter. I never liked rye bread all that much, but this recipe was really good.

Honey Baked Chicken II

This was very good and extremely easy. A definite tasty meal in a pinch. I think that grilled chicken parts, as the recipe suggests, would really make this stand out. We used cutlets but will be doing it again shortly. Added chili powder as others suggested also.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Very very tasty. I was told that I added too much chili sauce but they kept coming back for seconds anyway !! Since it was so many ingredients that I don't normally use I made a double batch so that we will have leftovers for lunch. Great Recipe, why bother going to P.F. Changs when you have this.
