great recipe, the only difference I did was to make crepes for the manicotti easy to make, easy to fill and roll, and so much lighter, yummy........

Creamy Ranch Pork Chops and Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2009
I really like this recipe. I seasoned the pork chops with a little salt and pepper before browning them. I also let them simmer for about an 1hr to 1 1/2 hr and the meat was so tender. I didn't make the ranch style rice because I thought that would be too much ranch flavor. It didn't matter though, because it made so much sauce I just poured that over my brown rice. Fantastic

Used jasmine rice; chicken broth and veggie stock instead of water; sprinkled GOOD SEASONINGS salad mix on top of chicken. Family loved it.

great recipe, we use crepes instead of managotti shells, same filling, roll, put in oven at 350 till the sauce is heated, so good, hubby doesnt like pasta, and the crepes fill the void.....dont use the vanilla or sugar for Mangotti crepes....

Crunch Bar

Had to use gluten-free crackers--they are very thin and increasing the recipe to 1.5 cups of butter/sugar was a bad idea. I have used the recipe as described and still am having trouble with consistency. It seems simple and they are very good. Any ideas?

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
These cookies are AMAZING... everyone who tried them loved them and it seems I will be making them again and again. They're incredibly chocolately (perfect PMS fix). The dough was hard to handle even after refrigeration so I lightly covered my hands in confectioners sugar in between rolling them and that helped enormously to shape them.

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

OMG - SOOOOOOO good! I had some corn in the fridge and I threw that in too. Made it perfect with that crispy, sweet addition. My husband told me that he would rather have this recipe than the Alfredo Tuna Noodle Helper (a long standing family favorite).

SO GOOD! I used sweet Italian sausage and gala apples and it was just wonderful. The apples and sausage complimented each other perfectly. The vinegar and brown sugar combined to make a wonderful glaze.

Really good. Didn't have green onions so I just used a sweet yellow onion. Also didn't have the cream for the egg mixture to brush on top so I just used egg whites alone.

Viva Madrid Spanish Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2008
almost the recipe that I learned to make in my 4 yr stay in spain, but they didnt use any flour to coat the chicken, just browned the chicken in olive oil, then poured white wine over, with the garlic etc. tomatoes was the last ingred. if more liquid is needed, they used water......but use lots of garlic and onions, never used chilli powder or bacon, I like the orginal, that I learned in Spain.

Broccoli Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
I made this recipe tonight for dinner it was great. I tweaked it just a bit. I took some of the others users advice by using one can of cream of mushroom and one can of cream of chicken. I mixed 1 cup of cheese in the soup mixture with 1/2 cup of milk. I baked the chicken instead boiling it. I seasoned it with course ground pepper, sea salt, and McCormicks Chicken seasoning. Instead of crackers, stuffing, or croutons to top the casserole I used French Fried Onions by Frenches. It was divine. Because the chicken was seasoned while cooking I didn't need to add salt or pepper to the end result. Try it with the French Fried Onions it really makes a difference in flavor.

Easy Meatloaf

My meatloaf usually sucks. Or has my husband says I don't make it with any love. Anyways it turned out really good. I used ground turkey instead of beef and 1% milk. I was little worried the mixture was too moist but it was very good.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
I LOVE THIS MEATLOAF!!! I put the glaze on top of the loaf instead though, didn't seem right to dig it out of the bottom. There's such little that goes into it but it is SO flavorful. When me and my fiance sit down to eat this all you hear is "Oh my gosh!" it almost sounds like something else is going on! haha TRY IT!

Vegetarian Kofta Kabobs

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
Very good. I couldn't find adzuki beans which didn't really surprise me but I found online that red kidneys are an acceptable substitute. They were pretty hard to crush though. Next time I may put them in the food processor before adding them in with the other ingredients. I think my kofta balls would have stayed together better if I'd gotten the beans mashed better. I served this with a quick yogurt sauce that I just made up as I went (yogurt, cumin, cayene, and salt). Very good.
