Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
This was an interesting one... I will not say that it was not good, but we were not big fans of it... It was a bit too much of a wine taste for us.. May be good with a peach or an apple infused wine... Meat was very very tender and it smelled very good while cooking...

Alienated Blueberry Muffins

good muffins, not overly sweet like the muffins you get in a bakery... Hubby ate 3 of them last night!

Mexican Corn on the Cob (Elote)

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2008
You can't go wrong with this recipe! After grilling to a light/medium char: I omitted the butter, brushed on some low fat mayo, rolled it in grated pecorino romano cheese (nice and tangy), dashed some chili powder on it and finished it with a squeeze of lime. SO GOOD! This will definitely be on my 'Last Supper' menu...LOL

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
This was great! I used a can of Cream of Celery and a can of Cream of Mushroom. I also used one can of store brand "Grands" (8 in a package). Served it up with a side of mashed potatoes using the soup for "gravy". We're thinking of trying this with boneless pork chops!

Spicy Peach-Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
very good! Hubby LOVED it also... I made some minor changes, I added a bit more wine then called for and I added some fresh sliced peaches to the sauce, skin and all... a Very tasty recipe... Note, if you are using a non stick pan there is no need to add the oil, lowers the fat content too! And just in case if people don't know,REMOVE THE PAN FROM HEAT BEFORE YOU ADD THE WINE!!! I have seen many people make this mistake.. This recipe would be good with a sparkling wine or a port also

Honey-Orange Marinated Salmon

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
Excellent recipe! Delicious! But please do NOT disgard the marinade. You will want to reduce it and make it a sauce. So sweet and fantastic. My wife was very impressed with this one. I'm sure chicken is delicious with this marinade and sauce. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
DELICIOUS! It is difficult to get wrong, even if you don't have all the ingredients. To cut down on time I used store-bought Strawberry Balsamic dressing. Didn't have poppy seeds (5 bucks and change for a little bottle, no thanks), just threw some sesame seeds and honey roasted almond slivers on fresh (MUST BE FRESH) strawberries and spinach and the results were soooooo good. My husband and I had 2nds. A definite keeper!

Classic Fish and Chips

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
I found this recipe to be not bad in flavor, but the batter soaked up WAY to much oil... I had the temp between 350-375 the entire time... I will try baking mine from now on instead of frying... What a waste of good fish...

Hot Crab Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
Made this last night with the wife and kids. Very expensive to make, but not being cheap people (and lovers of crab and cheese) we made it anyway. Ummm, there was NO flavor. My wife kept saying "It doesn't taste like anything." and I was increasingly getting mad at her, saying "Dear, it has to taste like something, so what does it need?" Finally, I tasted it, added 1 tsp Old Bay, more salt, more black pepper, parm-reggino cheese...still...this thing was DOA. Its a waste of time and money, and really good ingredients. You have been warned.

Gnocchi in Fontina Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2008
This recipe is simply decadent! Excellent. For those that said it was too think a sauce, add alittle more half and half if it appears to be too thick while melting the cheese, sheesh. This makes plenty of sauce, so you may have alittle less than half left over. This sauce is perfect for a fondue sauce, so keep the extra sauce, grab some crusty bread and enjoy with a loved one. Be warned: This recipe is VERY rich, so you won't want to make this every week. Once a month or for a special occasion like Valentine's Day or an anniversary would be perfect! ENJOY!

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2008
Never had quiche before, so I was naturally a bit nervous. However, this was delicious. Like other reviewers, I simply didnt have enough room in each pie crust to use all the cheese, so I threw alot out. It was still VERY good. The ham and bacon was wonderful, and the sour cream a nice touch. Excellent recipe. Try it!

My Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2008
This recipe was excellent! I do recommend alittle more Old Bay, however. In addition, I thought the 8 oz. of crackers a bit too much. I only used 5 oz', and it was plenty. Other than that, these crab cakes are some of the best I have ever had, and I know my crab cakes.

Sour Cream Scalloped Potatoes

This was easy to make, and tasted fantastic. I do agree with a few reviewers that more cheese is needed. Other than that, Its a great side dish.
