About me:
I am 24 years old, living with my fiancé and our "baby" Bridget, a mini-terrier. I've always loved to cook and bake. Growing up, I was constantly in the kitchen with my mother, trying new things (getting in the way!) and learning all the tricks. I wanted to go to culinary school & be a chef, but I started working right out of high school. I love to make anything for my family, & see them enjoy all my hard work.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed on Sep. 27, 2008 by Marie L.
Truly the best meatloaf ever!!!! I don't eat beef or pork, so this was great. I've been trying for years to make a turkey meatloaf that worked for me. I had never been satisfied until now. I used the bag of 2% cheddar and colby jack cheese cubes already in my fridge...how perfect was that?!! I used skim milk, and like others had suggested I soaked the breadcrumbs in it. I used plain orgainic whole wheat breadcrumbs and seasoned them myself. I don't like oregano, and it's always in the Italian breadcrumbs. I also used Trader Joes BBQ sauce instead of ketchup because I hate ketchup. I made two loafs, and froze the other one. Thank you for submitting this recipe!

Whole White Wheat and Honey Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed on Sep. 17, 2008 by Marie L.
Ok my kids and myself all say these are the best cookies we've ever had! I combined whole wheat flour and organic white flour to make my own whole white wheat. I used some walnuts since I was out of pecans. I used regular skim milk, not powdered. I don't keep powdered milk here. Truly they were chewy, sweet, but not too sweet, and really hit the spot. I woke up excited each day to eat some!
