Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
I have bought my last box of microwave popcorn. I followed other's advice and just used popcorn with no oil. Mainly because I'm lazy like that. It tasted great just the way it was. Thanks for the recipe!!

Appetizer Meatballs

I made this for a party and it was a big hit. I added 2 Tbsp. of bar-b-que sauce for some extra zip. I'll definitely be making it again.

Yummy, yummy. Much better (tasting and healthwise too) than boxed rice mixes. I made mine with brown rice and it was delicious. Thank you for sharing.

Puerto Rican Garlic Marinade

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
This was good. My dh was loving it! I did make some changes to suit what I had. I cut the oil in half as I only had three small steaks to marinade. I also used McCormick's hot shot pepper instead of just black pepper. I did think it was a little salty, so next time I will reduce it a little. Thank you so much for sharing!

Fabulous Roasted Cauliflower Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
I used fat free half n half, reduced the thyme by half, and used an onion in place of the shallots as they are hard to find around here. The only problem with this soup is looks. It's not very eye-appealing, but it sure is good. Will be making again, thank you for sharing.

Quick and easy. I did add additional garlic powder to the batter, but otherwise made as directed.

I have not made this recipe for a while so I decided to bring it to a work potluck this week. I cannot believe the rave reviews I received for something so simple to make. I gave this recipe out to several in attendance. This recipe is a permanent fixture in my recipe box. Thank you!

Karen's Baked Banana Stuffed French Toast

Yummy! I sliced the bananas as other reviewers suggested. Then I spread one slice of bread with some cream cheese and the other slice with peanut butter. Baked as directed. These turned out very good. Thank you for sharing!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Very good and much healthier than fried wings. I accidently used the whole packet of ranch dressing so it was a little salty. I put a little crumbled blue cheese on my roll and topped with the chicken. Excellent. Thank you for sharing!!

Mac's Shoe-Fly Bread

Very tasty! I used whole wheat flour in place of the bread flour, and a squirt of honey instead of sugar. I also made the dough into rolls and baked in the oven to serve with a soup I was making. Awesome warm with butter. Thank you for sharing!

Roast Beef with Coffee

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
Pretty much followed the recipe as written, made in slow cooker. Mine did turn out dry, however, but had a good flavor. I waited until my husband was done eating and asked if knew what I used to make it. He had no clue there was coffee involved until I told him. Thanks for the recipe.

This is a wonderful recipe. I added a few things and cut down on others, I guess it is just up to someone's taste preferences. Overall I would recommend this recipe to anyone that loves Carne Guisada!

Asparagus Avocado Medley

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
Very good way to get some of my favorite veggies in one meal. I did roast my asparagus, and sauteed all the other veggies except the avocado and tomato. Personal preference, I just don't like raw veggies. I halved the thyme in the dressing as I don't care for that spice. It was a very good combo that I will make again. Thanks for sharing!

Salmon Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
This is very tasty. I used frozen veggies for personal preference. Since my husband cannot eat fish, I divided the recipe into two 9" square pans. One I made with the salmon as the recipe called for. The other I used leftover rotisserie chicken and some southwestern seasoning. I reduced the cooking time since the recipe was divided. Very, very good Pixie...thanks for sharing!!
