Vegetarian Moroccan Stew

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
i made this for my husband and he really liked it. he is not a big fan of exotic foods. however this went over well. changes: i used regular potatos rather than red potatos. i added one extra cup of vegetable broth in addition to the 2cups. i used the cinnamin stick but also added 1/2 TBSP of cinnamin. i also added one extra TBSP of ground cumin. i used 1TBSP of pepper and 1/2 TBSP of salt. i used only 1/2 the ammount of olives because my husband doesnt care for them. but i think he actually liked them in this dish. i bought plain, pitted olives in water and sea salt, so they were mild in flavor. i also added a bit of the olive juice to the stew just for added flavor. i still feel like it could have used something more, but overall it was a great new recipe to try and i will make it again!

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
This chicken was a huge hit. Since we try to watch cholesterol, I only used olive oil and no butter. I also used boneless, skinless thighs since I had them on hand. I browned them in a skillet, then put them in the oven for about 15 minutes. We'll be having this chicken again!

I have been making this recipe for years (except that I also add 1.5 T of worchestershire sauce) and it is a family favorite.

Marinated Turkey Tenderloins

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
This had a very nice flavor even tho I screwed up and forgot to set some marinade aside for basting. I marinaded all day while I was at work and put the tenderloins on the grill when I got home. Quick, easy, and delicious. Thank you for sharing.

Very good kettle corn, although I did add salt at the end as is common here in my area. Very nice sweet/salty combo that the whole family enjoyed. Thank you for sharing.

German Pancake with Buttermilk Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
Very good. Reminded me (like others) more of french toast than a pancake. My dh said it reminded him of a large omlett. The sauce was very good, but a little sweet for me. Next time I'll reduce. Thanks for sharing!

Chicken with Asparagus and Roasted Red Peppers

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
Amazing dish! It tastes great, looks great and is quite simple to make. Next time I decide to make this I think I'll leave out the salt though. I used low sodium broth and it was still a bit salty for my taste. Over all it was an excelent meal that I will definately make again. Thanks for sharing :) ps; The only cheese I had on hand was an Italian mix with asiago and it went well with this dish.

BBQ Chicken the Old Bay® Way

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
Excellent. My family is not used to the Old Bay seasoning, so I changed things up a little bit. I made the sauce, reserved 1/2 cup, and marinaded boneless, skinless chicken breasts all day. Then I grilled and basted with the reserved sauce. I will be making this again. Thank you!

Pasta with Peas and Sausage

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
This was pretty good, although I did lighten it up a little bit. I subbed ff 1/2 and 1/2 for the heavy cream and I diced turkey sausage instead of the pork sausage. (Caution, using this method produces a very thin, but still tasty, sauce) I also topped with some fresh basil. My dd couldn't stop complimenting me on a fantastic meal. Thanks for sharing!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
Awesome. I took the easy way out as I was short on time. I did everything in steps. I bought refrigerated break-apart cookie dough. I rounded and froze one night. The next night I made a yellow cake mix and baked (my screwy oven was perfect at 14 minutes). The next morning, I frosted with milk chocolate canned icing. Doing a little each day really worked with my crazy schedule last week. And the results were marvelous. Thanks lth!!

Brown Rice Veggie Stir-Fry

This was pretty good, just seemed to be missing something....needed a little oomph. I made two small changes in that I used cole slaw mix for convenience and toasted the almonds before sprinkling on at the end. This is great for a quick week-night meal. Thanks for sharing.
