About me:
I spent 20 years in the radio and television industries before leaving to teach college. Working in network television in New York, you get to sample all sorts of foods in some of the finest restaurants in the world. Some are tucked away in little alcoves or basements of brownstones in Greenwich Village and throughout the rest of the city. A particular favorite, Ithaka - an excellent Greek restaurant, was on a side street off of 7th Avenue and Bleecker Street, but burned a few years ago; since relocated to East 86th Street... worth a try!

Boiled Lobster

Skipped the jalapenos, not my favorite fruit! Otherwise, it came out excellent, particularly for my first "live" lobster boil!

Grandma Gudgel's Black Bottom Cupcakes

Reviewed on Aug. 17, 2008 by Kim
I made these cupcakes for my employees. They turned out great. Only, my cupcakes had more of a filling then a topping, but I think I liked them better that way.

Baked Zucchini Chips

Reviewed on Aug. 17, 2008 by Kim
I had tried this recipe. I cut the zucchini thin, seasoned them, and baked them for the required time. However, these "chips" did not bake for me. After about an hour of baking, I had to give up because I had to go to work. I won't try this recipe again, why waste my zucchini, I might as well just throw them away.
