Slow Cooker Oatmeal

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
I was VERY disappointed with this recipe. I did as the recipe instructed, and in the morning had stuck oatmeal on the sides of the pot and a watery MESS in the center. Don't know if anyone else had this happen, but will NOT make this again.!!!!!!

This was very light and refreshing, I made it with a bag of confetti slaw (red cabbage, broccoli and carrots). I think it will be even better tomorrow

These were good, i used a combo of frozen and fresh strawberries.I also added a handful of ground flax seed. the nutmeg was a little strong for my taste, so when i make the these again i will either reduce it or omit it all together.

Very easy and to the point. The only thing I did different was to puree the vegies with some texture. It was great

Excellent recipe. Followed exactly and was thrilled with the ease and final product. Also made these with craisins, and microplaned the zest of one orange into dry ingredients, absolutely delightful!

This was really good, but took longer than what it said. I don't know if i just cut the cabbage to thick...maybe. Anywho it still tasted really good.

I made this for Easter breakfast and everyone loved it. I used the amish white bread from this site (reducing the sugar to 1/4 cup), one can of apple pie filling and eggbeaters. It was delicious.

Amish White Bread

This is a great recipe and very easy. I have substituted 2 cups of the white flour with whole wheat flour and it is great. I just let the yeast proof a little longer and and the the dough takes a little longer to rise but it comes out great. I also reduce the sugar to 1/4 cup.

Yum! The only thing I changed was to cut the cooking time to 30 min. (I think mine were a little on the thinner side) and then I put the oven on broil for about 7 minutes. Served it with garlic smashed potatoes and a big salad...we loved every bite!

I made this in jumbo muffin cups, so I got 6 loaves. I baked them for 35 minutes, then turned them out onto a foil-lined cookie sheet, and coated the undersides with the leftover glaze, then baked them another 10 minutes.

These were truly phenomenal. I followed the recipe as stated except we made them slightly larger and used the whole mint instead of half. I made them for Christmas and they vanished in no time. Thanks for a great recipe.
