Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
delicious!! ~ although the recipe as is lacks a little flavor, so I changed the recipe a little bit - lots of garlic, some fresh spices - thyme, bay leaf and a little oregano , to cut the fat a little bit I used turkey sausage (not ground just cut into 1/4 slices)and only added about a half a cup of the heavy cream - next time I'm going to try using kale instead of the spinach :)

Beef Stroganoff III

Pretty good, I used fresh mushrooms and garlic - added the onions - it really added to the flavor of the sauce. I also used cream cheese and sour cream at the end - it seemed to be missing something. But still very good!

Broccoli Cheese Soup VI

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Great recipe! I made a few changes - I took a tip from the other comments and added more cheese and instead of onion flakes I sauted a chopped medium onion with a half a clove of garlic and a little water before adding the chicken broth (which I allowed to simmer with just the onions garlic and a little pepper for a little while to soften the onions) - I Love that this recipe called for REAL cheddar not "processed cheese product", and fresh broccoli! I used a mild cheddar but I probably should have mixed it with a sharper cheddar, even so the flavor was amazing!

A very light and fluffy frosting. Great for decorating. Instead of using milk, I used heavy whipping cream. Very tasty. I will definitely use this recipe again.

I make this all the time now, especially for tailgating at football games. Everyone raves about it and wants me to make more! Sometimes I add garlic and substitute soy sauce for worchestire when I'm out.

Bland and tasteless, I will never attempt this again. Added more herbs than called for followed the tips on dewatering the vegies first. Smelled ok in the oven, but had NO flavor.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
I followed this recipe to the letter except that I did cut the sugars to one half cup each. They turned out great. I did mix my hand as there are few things I use my stand mixer for. It's easy to over work things when you let a machine do the work. You do have to let them cool for at least 8 minutes before you try to take them off the cookie sheet, otherwise they will fall apart. That is the nature of the beast when using oatmeal in cookies. Great recipe!!

So simple, so good! This is the perfect base recipe to build upon, we just got a new food processor and whipped this up in a flash. Made an omlet with this and a bit of shredded cheddar, SO good and fresh tasting.

I'm baking this bread right now and it smells delish! I can't wait to take a bite. I have a SunBeam Breadmachine and was able to follow the directions just fine. I also made a few changes. Another reviewer suggested vanilla, cinnamon, and raisins. I went ahead and added it. OMG...I wish I could speed up time and take a bite! It smells wicked good!
