I made this recipe as part of a wedding cake. I never actually got to try it, but people are still raving about it. I licked the bowl and it was great :P

I didn't make the sandwich, just the meatballs. I think I made mine a little small, but they came out great.

Stuffed Pork Chops with Gorgonzola and Apple

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
These didn't taste right. I don't think the apples and the gorgonzola cheese go well together. I'm not making these again.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
I doubled the recipe, and baked it in a 9x13 pan. I didn't make the frosting. These brownies were different from most that I've had, but I was pleasantly surprised. They were spongier than regular brownies, but richer than cake. They were so easy to make, and I only had one pot to wash. I will make these again.

Italian Wheat Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2007
This is a fabulous recipe. I halved the recipe, then made 6 large sandwich-size rolls instead of 12 dinner rolls. They were a touch dense, but nothing a little extra rising time for larger rolls wouldn't cure. My mistake. Anyway, the rolls were SO tasty all on their own, but with some pulled chicken and barbeque sauce, they were DIVINE! This is going in my recipe box.

Margaritas

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2007
I rated this years ago. It was the top rated review but it mysteriously dissappeared so I'll try again. Ever since I found this recipe my search for the perfect Margarita has ended! In my former life I spend many, many years bartending in a popular restaurant know for it's signature drinks. Despite that experience I struggled to duplicate a decent margarita at home. I didn't have the secret spice mix, none of the (expensive) mixes out there even came close, and messing with all of those limes and sugar was, well, a mess! Search no more folks, this is sooo easy and makes the perfect Margarita to boot. Ialways add a splash of O.J. to the blender. To make it "golden" sub Gran Marnier or Cointrau (sp?) or a combo of both for the Triple Sec. In the summer I often replace half of the ice with frozen chunks of watermelon and it is devine! If you prefer your margarita on the rocks, cut the recipe with 1/2 h20, put in a shaker with ice, shake shake shake and pour into your ice filled glass.

Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties

Disappeared at a shower. Really yummy. After making using the original recipe, I now use fresh dill instead of dried and use salt, white pepper, and a little bit of onion and garlic powder instead of the italian dressing mix.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies II

SOOOOO yummy. I substituted 1 cup of butterscotch chips for 1 of the cups of chocolate chips, so there was one of each. It was SO good. Rich and chocolatey with a little something extra. Perfect!

Rolled Buttercream Fondant

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2007
This was my first time making fondant. I followed the recipe exactly, and it came out very greasy and it cracked. The more powdered sugar, the better. I will probably experiment with this again, but it has way too much grease.

Easiest Focaccia Recipe

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
This recipe was really bland. I added garlic powder and salt to the dough, and i put rosemary, thyme, basil and Parmesan cheese on top, and it still needed more flavor. Next time i will add some more spices to the dough as well as on top.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

These are terrific. I did make one pretty major change which was to use a couple of cups of a black raspberry/ dark cherry mixture cooked with sugar and cornstarch instead of the jam. Yum!

Italian Herb Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2007
This bread came out great. you can add whatever spices you prefer, and it will still come out great. The only important thing is to make sure that when you're shaping the loaves, not to kneed the bread too much. Just touch it enough to make it the right shape and leave it alone.

Key Lime Pie VIII

This recipe was good except the lime zest made little chunks in the pie, and it was not good. Only eat one slice, or you will get a stomach ache.

Orange Oatmeal Muffins

Reviewed: May 31, 2007
I made these last night because my husband wanted something citrussy and I wanted something healthy. I ommitted the nutmeg bc I didn't have any, ommitted the water, and used all juice that I squeezed from Navel oranges. I also used the zest from the 4 oranges I squeezed and left all the fresh pulp in the juice. I also used 100% whole wheat flour instead of the all-purpose. They were amazing! So fluffy, which I totally didn't expect from a muffin with oats and ww flour. They tasted SO good, and the orange flavor was just right, though WAY more than a 'hint' as the recipe description says, which was likely due to all the zest I included. They were just PERFECT, and pretty healthy to boot!

Pizza Dough III

Reviewed: May 30, 2007
This dough is truly the best I've ever had- AMAZING! It makes a large pizza with generous crust, which I've used for making a 'stuffed crust' twice. I just found this recipe two weeks ago and I've made it four times already. My husband asks for pizza now every time I ask what he wants for dinner. I just bought some whole wheat dough today and will be trying it 100% whole wheat next time. We're both anxious to see how this healthier twist on an already fabulous recipe turns out.

Exquisite Yeastless Focaccia

Reviewed: May 24, 2007
This recipe was pretty good, but there's one really important thing: a whole teaspoon of cayenne pepper is way too much. 1/4 tsp would have been much better. Also, it didn't rise as much as I thought it would, but that's probably just because it has no yeast. I will make this again, but I will have to experiment with it.
