Very yummy creamy tropical coconut eggnog made with spices and white rum. It is always requested at my holiday gatherings. (And sometimes gets selfishly hidden in the fridge by the hostess.) Serve in glass cups and sprinkle with more cinnamon if desired. Feliz Navidad!

This is a good, standard chili, with lots of ground beef, tomatoes, kidney and pinto beans, and onions. It needs to simmer for 90 minutes on the stove, or can be made in a slow cooker and left to simmer all day. 

Warm Brussels Sprout, Bacon and Spinach Salad

Brussels sprouts have a delicate nutty taste that is only made more tasty by inclusion in this salad. They 're lightly sauteed in bacon drippings with a handful of caraway seeds, and then fresh spinach, oil, vinegar and a bit of sugar are added to the pan for another minute 's cooking. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.

Butter, cream, egg yolk and two kinds of cheese are cooked together with a dash of freshly ground nutmeg to make a luxurious, classic Alfredo sauce. Buy a whole nutmeg and grate only as much as you need. The unmistakable flavor is well worth it.
