Chocolate Fudge Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2009
This recipe is so easy! If you want some quick cookies this is the best. I added a little more than the called for cup of chocolate chips and 2 tbsp. of brewed coffee to deepen the chocolate flavor and they were nice and gooey good.

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
My 11 year old son said this is the best salmon he ever had and he loves salmon!! The flavor was very good. I used a whole frozen salmon fillet and it came out with a nice firm texture. I will use this marinade again.

Spinach Caprese Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
I made some changes to this recipe using the greens that I had on hand. I used fresh mesclun mix from the farmer's market. I also added some fresh ground black pepper and sea salt garlic grinder mix. I used basil from my porch herb garden. Yum,yum, yum.

Lemon-Garlic Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
this recipe is very good for a weeknight meal! If you like lemon (my family does) then you'll the bright flavor. I added sage from my porch garden to the marinade and made it on the grill. My boys and husband liked it.

Tomato and Avocado Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
This was good. I love avocado, and I love tomato, and the dressing compliments them well. However, it wasn't quite as flavorful as I had hoped. Also, I doubled the amount of avocado and tomato and kept the amount of dressing the same. Still way too much dressing.

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
I found this to be an ok recipe. It tasted a bit bland, but not too bad. I also had a hard time getting the cheese to melt, so the texture was a bit off. However, I would probably try it again, but add more garlic and some pepper.

'So This Is What Heaven Tastes Like!' Cream Cheese Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
I used neufchatel cheese because that is what I had on hand. They came out like a cake-like cheesecake. They were very rich and moist with very nice flavor and mouth-feel. I cut them into bite-sized pieces for portion control!! Everyone at work loved them. I used a shiny 9x13 pan and 25 mins in the oven was perfect because these do continue to bake a little more than expected when removed from the oven. I think any more than that and they would have been overdone and dry. I will definitely make these again and again. I can't wait to try them as mini-muffins.

Yummy Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
Delicious! Wonderful as written I'm sure but of course I tweaked a bit. I did 1 cup half and half, 5 eggs, 1 med-large onion (sauteed in a couple Tbls of bacon grease with a little minced garlic), I used freshly grated cheeses and the 4 oz can of chilies. I added a few shakes of crushed red pepper. I only had a preformed deep dish and as others said, it was a bit too much filling so I poured the extra into a very small buttered casserole and made a tiny crustless one. For the quiche itself, I flash baked the crust for 10 minutes at 350 and then filled. 60-70 mins seemed like a long time to me. I checked at 45 minutes and it was perfectly cooked. I'll def make it again although next time I might reduce the bacon by a couple pcs and add another can of chilis as I think I would like more chili flavor. Thank you for a great recipe PAMMMY.

Hamburgers by Eddie

These are very tasty burgers. I used grass-fed beef which I prefer. It is a little leaner so the egg really helped make it moist. I didn't have A-I sauce so I used soy sauce instead. I made them on the stove top in a skillet and they came out great.

Cilantro Egg Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
I really liked this salad. It is def. a step above boring egg salad. My cilantro came fresh from the garden so it really added a lot of flavor. I didn't have lime juice so I added 2 tsp. of lemon instead. I also left out the mushrooms. It was a little soupy but the flavor is exellent.

Octoberfest German Potato Salad

Overall a good recipe. If I make it again I will only add 1/2 the vinegar and a cup of mayo. It seemed to be missing something. I might add some more pepper and onion powder.

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

My favorite kind of recipe. quick, easy and delivers what it promises! This is easy to make with ingredients that most people have in their kitchen and it is very yummy and comforting. It reminds me how simple it is to make most things that supermarkets want to convince us we need a mix for.

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
this is good stuff!! I have always loved tuna salad and this is a very good version. I esp. like the touch of curry powder. It adds just the right spice. I was out of pickle relish so I chopped up pickle slices instead and I used fresh instead of dried dill from my garden.

I really like this recipe! The only thing wrong is it was a little too tart for our taste. Next time I will shred a bigger cabbage. Otherwise, delicious spicing and I love the apples.

Sara's Iced Coffee

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
this was really good!! I made it on a beautiful sunny morning so it was just perfect for that day. It is not overwhelmingly sweet like sarah said. Just sweet enough and the vanilla adds a nice touch. I added whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon to the top too.

Spaghetti Pizza Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
This was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I did halve the recipe, as it's just me and my husband, and it was still huge. We only ate about 1/4 of it. Should make good leftovers. I did follow the most common recommendations: layer of sauce on the bottom, cut back on the milk, extra egg, increased temp. and bake time, waiting until last 15 minutes to add cheese. I also went a little heavy on the seasonings (I get it from my husband...he's big on spices). I might make it again. My husband is a tough critic. I served it with bread and butter, cottage cheese, and salad. Very filling.

Cinnamon Coffee Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
I loved the flavor combination! Cinnamon, coffee, and chocolate are perfect together in my opinion. I dissolved plenty of instant coffee in the water, but would love to try it with espresso. The amount of cinnamon was perfect. I substituted overripe mashed banana for the fat, used a bit less brown sugar, and used whole wheat flour. I definitely plan to make these again.

Linguine With Clam Sauce

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
This was excellent for a quick and delicious clam sauce. I added 1/4 c. of white wine to give it some tartness and balance the flavors. I let it reduce for a 1/2 hr. My husband and 9 year old son both loved it.
