Molasses Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
OMG!!! These cookies are the best. I made them for my Christmas bags, and am now planning to make more because I keep going back for "just one more" The recipe makes a ton, and makes the whole house smell awesome while baking. VERY easy recipe. I didn't use shortening, but butter instead. Easy putting together, and the next day just scooped them out, rolled and in the oven. You will keep this recipe in your recipe box. A must!!!!

This is very sweet, but my family loves it! It's always nice to have a fish dish that everyone can agree on! My daughter especially loves the glaze on grilled chicken.

What can I say that hasnt already been said? What a great recipe!! I'm not a big chocolate cake person, but this one has me nibbling slices (and if properly eaten over the sink, the calories dont count!)

PHILADELPHIA Farmhouse Chicken Dinner

This was very easy to make. I added a bit of white wine to the broth. Gave it a nice, sweet flavor. I'll definitely make it again.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
These took a bit more work than I normally expend in the kitchen for a morning treat - but they were so well worth it. I didn't have bread flour o hand so used the AP flour instead - and they came out fine. The only thing I was unclear on was how long I should wait to frost them, and in hindsight, I should have probably given them about 10 minutes out of the oven before doing so. I think the icing weighed them down too much as they cooled. But they were still delicious and decadent! Highly recommened!!!

Wonderful Banana Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
Very nice recipe for a light and fluffy banana cake. I would recommend this - simple and easy. I do think however the banana flavor is subtle, since even with me adding a 1/2 tsp of banana extract it still wasn't overwhelmingly banana tasting. Nice base for a more complex tasting frosting. In my case I made cupcakes and filled with marshmallow cream and topped with peanut butter buttercream - essentially a fluffernutter. Yum.

The Best Chocolate Cake You Ever Ate

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
First I must say, I wish the name of this recipe included cinnamon in it. In my quest for a stable all-around yummy chocolate cake recipe, I stumbled on this one. The inclusion of cinnamon caught my eye - and I'm now very glad I tried it. This is an excellent, moist and very flavorful cake. I do think it is especially nice to make in the fall and winter months where its flavors seem even more seasonally appropriate. I made this into cupcakes. There is something about the final result that reminds me of a warm and cozy cup of hot cocoa, so it inspired me to fill mine with a marshmallow creme filling and top with whipped chocolate buttercream. Delicious!!

Curried Honey Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
good recipe - the curry balanced nicely with the honey mustard. I only marinated the chicken in the sauce for about 2 hours, rather then the recommended 4, and it still had loads of flavor.

Cheesecake Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
This is a great recipe - and with such wonderful results no one will think you cheated with a brownie base mix. I baked mine in individual muffin tins and didn't swirl the cheesecake mixture, instead it acted as its own layer on top of the brownie. Then drizzled with melted dark chocolate - came out amazing!

Mom's Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2008
This recipe is completely unsuitable for cupcakes, which is rather misleading considering the photo shows cupcakes. They didn't raise correctly (and I didn't open then oven) and the coffee flavor seems to somehow create an intensified burnt flavor at the bottom of each cupcake. Oh and the liners could not be pulled off without destroying the whole cupcake. So while this make work in layer cake form, its unsuitable for cupcakes and seems to be a generally unstable recipe. Very disappointing.

Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2008
Wonderful, and extremely easy! The best part? It tastes AWESOME!!! I only added a splash of vanilla flavoring, and less than a handful of chocolate chips. (left overs from my last batch of cookies) I pressed them into my little PC bar pan and baked for 18 minutes... then I took them out and let them cool... hardly. I used a pizza cutter to make even bars and had twenty of them. Thank you so much for this recipe. My daughter and I love them.

Pancakes I

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2008
These are the best, if I can get my picky six year old to eat them. In fact, she asks for them every morning. I use just a little over 2/3 cup of milk for fluffier pancakes and I also "eyeball" the amount of cinnamon and vanilla that I add. But my husband and daughter love them. And so do I.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2008
I've been trying to avoid buying store bought bread. We are in the middle of packing to move to a new house, and my bread machine recipe book was already packed. (But the machine wasn't...) I only had 2.25 tsp of yeast left. I prayed as I started making the bread... especially since it was going totally against what my 10 year old bread machine said I should do... I will not use the machines recipe book for white bread ever again. This was the best loaf of bread that has ever come out of that machine. And trust me, I've tried quite a few times with other recipes just trying to get the results that I got with this simple and yes fool-proof recipe. In fact, as I type this review (the next morning) I am typing as I enjoy two slices of the bread toasted with butter and jelly and some coffee. I will need to go out and stock up on my yeast, because this is the bread that I will make always. Thank you so much for this awesome bread recipe. BTW, I did add an extra 1/2 teaspoon of salt like others suggested...

Spaghetti Pie III

This was an unexpected delicious surprise! I knew it wouldn't be bad with all the good reviews, but I never expected it to be as good as it was! I seasoned the meat up a bit with garlic, some sauteed onions, basil, etc. My husband and son devoured it! I'll definitely make this again. It's perfect for making ahead of time and heating up when I get home from work!

Chocolate Oil Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2008
I'm giving this a 3 star for taste. It's a good chocolate cake. However, I attempted to bake it in 2 9-inch rounds. I was trying to make a chocolate layer cake. I buttered and cocoa-ed the pans. Unfortunately they stuck badly and werent usable (although my family enjoyed my "mistake").
