Clam Sauce with Linguine

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
Great for a quick week-night meal. I added 2 tbsp of white wine and used dried Parsley (since the groundhog had a yummy dinner with my fresh herbs this week). Add garlic bread and a nice salad and you have a great quick and really easy meal!! Thanks!!!!

Artichoke, Cheese and Olive Antipasto

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2008
As per other reviewers, I used kalamata olives instead of black olives. Also, I used extra sharp provolone cheese in big chunks, and white balsamic vinegar too. These were my only substitutions. Everybody loved this salad!

New England Dinner

Reviewed: May 16, 2008
I can't really figure out why so many people left low ratings. There are no spices in the recipe so if you don't like bland food ...... spice it up!!!! I left out the taters and added carrots, onions, fresh thyme and 3 cloves of chopped garlic. I also replaced the water with veggie broth. A SUPER EASY AND YUMMY DINNER!! BTW - we cooked 45 min and it was perfect. Thanks!

Slow-Cooked, Texas-Style Beef Brisket

Reviewed: May 10, 2008
There is no option to give NO Stars, because this one was a total waste. I wasted good money on this cut of meat! I wasted 25 hours of electricity! The meat was burnt on the bottom, it was chewy like leather. The only moist part was the FAT on the meat. Now I have to get take-out. I followed the directions to a tee. I used the servings converter to 4 servings for my husband and me. This is the first recipe I've tried on here that I totally hated it!

Pork Tenderloin with Steamed Kale

Reviewed: May 2, 2008
Fantastic!! I made 2 changes: 1st -Grilled the pork outside. 2nd - Used only 3 tsp EVOO and replaced the difference with fresh squeezed OJ. Fantastic and MUCH healthier than written. Thanks so much for the recipe!!

Baked Oatmeal II

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2008
I make this exactly as indicated, except substitute sliced apples for the cranberries because my husband prefers apples. It is VERY good and it's a Sunday morning favorite. Thanks to the review suggesting 1/4 cup butter and 1/2 cup applesauce- I was looking for a lower fat version and now I'm going to try it!

BBQ Potato Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
We had 50/50 reviews on this recipe. Half really liked it and half thought is was nothing special. It is very easy to make and I am sure with a little "tweaking" of the spices it would be a 5 star recipe. Thanks for the post ~ I will most likely play with this one a little and end up with a great potato dish.

Ham Bone Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2008
Great Soup!! It is very easy to make and the ingredients are easily interchangable to suit what you have on hand. I didn't have green pepper so I sauteed a bunch of celery and zucchini and added that. I used a left over spiral ham bone w/lots of meat on it. When the soup was done, I took a bunch of the meat and added it into the soup. I have gotta say - this one is a keeper. I will be making this again esp after holidays!! Thank you!
