Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
My husband thought this was great, but personally I thought it was a bit dense, and the dough was tough to work with. This might be down to my kneading skills tho! It was tasty though.

Chicken and Corn Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
this was great- very easy. i used one can of enchilada sauce (instead of salsa), six chicken breasts, a can of diced tomato w/green chilis, and a cup of chicken broth (could have used just a half- little soupy). i threw everything in in the morning, and pulled the chicken out to shred around hour 5 1/2 and found it to be done, so i left it on warm until the "big game". served with cheese, sour cream, and jalapeno wheels. loved it!

New England Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
delicious! as always, trying to make things a little healthy, i cut out the butter (used cooking spray) and added about a cup of shredded carrots and a package of frozen broccoli florets that i cooked and then pureed. after the carrots and potato were boiled soft, i blended the whole mixture in the blender- it was so creamy, i only had to add 1 1/2 cups of 1% milk. throw a little low fat shredded cheddar on top-yummy!

Rosemary Mashed Potatoes and Yams with Garlic and Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
this was such a good recipe! i tried to make it a little more healthy- i didnt use any butter (it doesnt need it) and just added a little fat free evaporated milk (just a tablespoon or two) as someone else suggested....i used fresh rosemary which was sooooo good- the only problem was that i over did it a little- oops. still a great recipe though :)

This is a wonderful kugel. I have been making it for years. I always have an interfaith seder and even the non-jewish participants liked it and asked for the recipe. I highly recomend this dish.

These were yummy. I rolled them a bit thinner and really had to pinch the dough well for it to stay in shape. I also reduced the temp and baked at 350 degrees for 15 mins. I will make these every Purim, they were fun.

Excellent! My family loves soup this one was another great one! I cheated and used an already cooked rottisiere chicken and canned chicken stock to save time.

My late grandmother used to make something very similiar to this every holiday. It wasn't a holiday without it. The only difference was we used only Strawberry jello, frozen strawberries and bananas along with the crushed pinapples! Makes me miss Grandma!

Salsa Cube Steaks

This was very tasty.I used mild salsa. It definately has a zing though. We had it over rice. It was a hit with adults, it had a bit too much spice for the kids. I will make this again.

This recipe is absolutely delicious!! I made it for my luncheon group & for some dinner guests & everyone wanted the recipe! This is easy to make, but tastes & looks like you slaved for hours. The flavors meld together wonderfully & an added bonus, it is very low-carb for us dieters!!!

Cousin David's Slow Cooker Brisket

This was a very good recipe. I used a can of cranberry sause instead of chile sauce because thats what I had and it came out delicious. I also layed thick sliced onion rings at the bottom of the cooker for a little more flavor. It smelled great all day. I searved it with mashed potatoes and salad, it was perfect.

OMG! If you are looking for a recipe to wow your friends for a dinner party, this is it! Excellent! The only change I will make next time is, instead of the sundried tomatoes, I will top with fresh diced up plum tomatoes at the end! Everyone will ask for the recipe no doubt!

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Very, very good! I did reduce the flour portion to 1/4 cup and the cheese. Even reducing the cheese it was still on the cheesey side, but very good! I would go slow on the cheese until you find the mix that works for you. Going to pick up a load at Panera for some dipping!
