This was very good! I served it on a pita with hummus, tomato, and cucumber.

Secret Sauce Chicken

It was pretty good. I used this to marinate both chicken and beef steak. We much preferred it with the beef. Definitely won't use it for chicken again, though.

This is a great recipe. I made it one time subbing almonds for the walnuts. Yummy!

Baked Pesto Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
This was absolutely fabulous! I have made it twice. First, I used the mozzarella and the Pesto Sauce recipe from this site. Very nice. The next time, I used some tomato-basil gouda that I had in the fridge. This was TO DIE FOR. Make it!

AMAZING! I served it in a sun-dried tomato wrap with provolone cheese, a handful of shredded lettuce, and a drizzle of blue cheese dressing.

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
This was VERY tasty and actually had a light herby taste - really not what I was expecting from the title. I used fresh sage (because I have loads of it in the garden), dry bread crumbs, and boneless chops - cut 1 inch thick. The lemon flavor was terrific and I also would not skip it. The only thing I'll do different next time is use thinner cut chops or pound them thin and then I think they'd be over the top. Oh, and I also pan fried them and then used the oven safe fry pan to go directly into the oven. If I pound them thin, then I will omit the oven stage.

Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2009
We love this, could not get the kids to try it but my husband and I love it. Just the right amount of pepper to give it spice. I boil up some oriental ramen noodles, drain the water and sprinkle the seasoning packet on the noodles then toss with the hamburger/cabbage mixture.

This was pretty good, used peach yogurt and fresh peaches. I would prefer if the tops were not so soft and sticky. I'll keep this recipe in the recipe box but I'm not sure how often I'll make it. Will be good when I have fruit to use up.

Mom's Coleslaw

Very good, I used prepackaged coleslaw mix and all of the dressing and it was too much, ended up runny but tasted great! Will make again and watch the amount of dressing.

Rhubarb Jam

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
Loved this, I made one batch with half of the zest (all I got from the orange) and it was good, made another batch without the zest because I did not have any more oranges and it was good too. The batch with the zest turned out more brown in color and the batch without was more green, not sure why but both tasted good. This is my rhubarb jam recipe from now on!

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
Almost any well-cured ham will turn out wonderfully in a crockpot without adding a thing. I feel there is way too much sugar in this recipe. I usually make split pea soup with the bone, but not from this ham.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies I

They turned out great.. just soft and chewy enough, not hard as a rock.. Didn't have quite enough brown sugar, so added little extra regular sugar.. added some vanilla, baked at 350 for about 14 minutes.

Crab Salad III

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
Really good. I made a few changes to fit my family's tastes, but even without those things it was still really yummy. I left out: radishes, tomatoes, basil, and oregano. I used 1 Tbs sugar instead of artificial sweetner, and I added a tsp. of celery seeds instead of the sliced celery. I didn't have any shell pasta so I used 1/2 cup of orzo. We snafed this up!
