This is a great recipe that I found in my Grandma's recipe book. Judging from the weathered look of this recipe card, this was a family favorite.

This is a summertime tradition in my family, and we have NEVER tasted, (or even seen), a strawberry pie like it! 'The Old Boy' is my dad, but my mom remembers her grandmother making a pie like this when she was young...

Tomatoes, parsley, garlic and oregano go for a spin in your food processor before simmering with sauteed onion and a goodly dash of white wine. The consistency is smooth and the taste is pleasing indeed.

Blackberry and Blueberry Pie

Submitted by: Debbie Sanchez
A wonderful taste combination, this terrific pie can be made in the summer with fresh berries and in the winter with frozen ones. The berries are mixed with sugar, flour and cinnamon, spooned into a waiting crust, and sprinkled with lemon juice and dotted with butter. And then on goes the top crust and it 's ready for the oven.

My family actually calls this peach cobbler but the crispy shortbread-type crust makes it a crisp. Very good with ice cream or sprinkled with pecans before baking.
