Sweet Russian Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
This is exactly what I was looking for! I'm a vegetarian, so I used TVP instead of the meat with 3 cubes of vegetable bullion and some meat-free beef bullion. Cut the sugar in half and put another can of diced tomatoes, like suggested before. Added a tad bit more vinegar and some garlic powder. Wonderful!

Home-Style Scalloped Potatoes

I didn't have milk, so I used 4 C Water and 1 C Heavy Cream. Added almost twice the onion. I added two cloves of Garlic. And put a mixture of Mozz, Cheddar, and fresh grated Parmesan on top. Prep time would have taken a LOT longer if I didn't have my Ultimate Mandolin! It was a HUGE hit! Very tasty!

Lime Chicken Picante

This recipe was wonderful! The Dijon mustard/salsa combo was excellent! The marinade should definitely be doubled though. It was a great twist on chicken, and so easy!

Tofu Tacos I

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
These were pretty good! I once had some tofu tacos that a roommate had made in the past and they were a bit better, but these are good! I didn't have herbed tofu, so I did a quick herbing of my own. Didn't have cilantro on hand either. I added some taco seasoning on top of the others. Next time I think I'll cut down a little on the cayenne. I cooked it for longer so the tofu wouldn't be mushy and it was the perfect consistency! My DH loved it!

Tortellini Salad I

Yummy! I used yellow pepper instead of red, put red onion (half of a big one was almost too much), omitted olives and the mint, put oregano and more basil. I added tomatoes, matchstick carrots, and mushrooms. Perfect!

I was not at all impressed with this recipe. I followed the recipe exactly, and the cookies came out tough and chewy. I've been making cookies for years, and have never had any recipe turn out this hard and chewy. I'm not sure what happened.

The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2007
I made this for a chili cook-off with my husband. It was the first chili gone! All those meat eaters loved it! This is by far the best chili I have had. I love the fresh taste it has with the variety of ingredients...it for sure looks the best..chili doesn't look to great most of the time. My husband doesn't like the canned taste of the tomatoes, so he wants me to try fresh ones next time. This really is the best!

Creamy Cilantro Chicken with a Kick

Reviewed: May 2, 2007
This is fabulous. I modified it a little- added some scallions and a little more ginger, and I used lime juice instead of zest, and I used dried cilantro instead of fresh. I also added more coconut milk. It was fantastic. Tastes just like it came from a restaurant. Everyone loved it, even my picky boyfriend.

Love love love these! I have added chopped tomatoes for more color and because I love tomatoes! Also have used hamburger when I didn't have sausage or for a crowd that doesn't do spicy well. These look like gourmet appetizers and they are so easy!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2007
Made this for a work food thing and everyone LOVED it, there was not a bit left and I had requests for the recipe. I left out the green peppers and onions because I don't like them and didn't need nearly as much sour cream and cream cheese and I only used 1/2 the packet of seasoning but it was plenty spicy. I served it with Tostitos new FLOUR tortilla chips and it was great!

Pecan Pie Muffins

So so yummy! I was actually searching for these after having a homebased business one and these turned out better!!!! My brown sugar was old and I had to use butter spray but they were still good, I can't wait to make them again with better ingredients! I did add the vanilla like one reviewer suggested because I love vanilla! I used Pam with flour for baking spray and had NO trouble getting them out!!!!

Schwarma

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2007
This recipe for Schwarma was delicious. Not to spicey and so good that my whole family(include little brothers and sisters) were wishing I had made extra. The only change I made was I used home-made flat bread instead of Pita bread. This is a winner!

Chicken Lasagna with White Sauce

I made this for dinner and it was very yummy! I think I will season the chicken more as I cook it next time for more flavor and I used the noodles that do not have to be boiled. My husband's comment was "you got me to eat spinach!"

So yummy!!!! I am lazy and so I just made this as a dip! Just don't make it into a ball and you won't need the pecans. I serve it with chocolate graham craker sticks. Everyone loves it!

Cranberry Apple Pie III

I baked this as a fruit crumble/cobbler, and it was delicious! To save on calories and time, I topped the fruit with oats, brown sugar, margarine, wheat germ, and a little maple syrup. I made the filling as the recipe said, just adding a little lemon juice to the fruit.

This was so quick, easy, and good! I only made one change -- boiled the chicken breasts in water and then shredded them. We decided that if we ever opened a restaurant, this will be on our menu. Thanks Michelle!

FANTASTIC!!!! I made these muffin for my family for breakfast and the loved them. The only thing I would change is more orange but other than that they were perfect. They were also low in sugar but the kids still loved them. This one is definitely a keeper!!

Oh my, YUMMY!!! The only words to describe these fluffy little treats is SINFUL. Although the didn't taste anything like the double K, they were equally as good in a different way. The recipe was simple and I did not need to make any substitutes. THANKS!!!
