Chocolate Covered Marshmallows

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
I thought these were great! It was a little too much marshmallow for us, so I cut them in half. I melted chocolate bark in the microwave (stirring every 30 seconds) and dipped the marshmallow halves in the melted chocolate. Then into graham cracker crumbs, like Jeannette H. suggested. They were like little smore bites! We'll definitely be making them again!

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

I sometimes use this frosting for the brownie recipe "Quick and Easy Brownies" and they are always a hit. It is a simple recipe and very simple.

White Chili I

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Great recipe. This is the second time I have made it. First time I followed the recipe exactly. It was great! This time I added a can of creamed corn. It made it a little thicker which is to my husband's liking and gave it a little more depth. This was so simple and fast and tastes even better the next day.

I thought this cake was fine, but nothing to get excited about. I used many of the recommendations from other reviewers. I do not plan to make this recipe again.

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

A really nice departure from potatoes when you're serving pork or ham. My kids love this and it goes together in a snap. This is comfort food at it's best. Great with any kind of BBQ too.

Pot Roast, Vegetables, and Beer

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
Roast was fantastic. I did have the same vegetable problem as the above reviewer. I ended up mashing it all up and having some "rustic" mashed potatoes with the meat and they were delicious.

Cider Vinegar Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
Very easy and very tender. I thought the vinegar would be too strong of a flavor because the odor was very strong out of the oven. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the vinegar flavor was nowhere to be found.

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
What a great recipe! So simple and so easy on the pantry. I marinated for a full 24 hours and it was soooo worth it. When the loin was cooling I used what was left in the dish to make a sauce. This is now a staple recipe for my family.

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
I figured since I make these all the time I should probably review the recipe. So easy and so quick! They always disappear before they are completely cooled. I line my pan with parchment paper so that I don't have to grease the pan... or clean it either! Mine always take about 28 minutes to get that balance of cakey and chewy.

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2009
We halved the recipe for two people and we used fresh rosemary from our garden since we didn't have any thyme. This recipe was excellent and will now be a staple at our house for special occasions and general spoilings. My husband cooked it in a dutch oven and between prep and actual cook time, it really only took an hour and twenty minutes. He did say the key to timing was being able to manage the three steps of onions, sauce, and meat.

Baked Fresh Cherry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
We used fresh bing cherries and followed the recipe exactly. I put my husband to work on the pitting and he did a great job. We had so much fun doing it together we have decided to make one every year and to use this recipe. Painted the top with egg wash and put a star in the middle for the 4th. Once we arrived at the party, the pie was the main event. Served with vanilla ice cream and it was gone!

The Old Boy's Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
My husband and son both thought this was one of the best desserts I have ever made. A homemade crust is a must. If you don't like strawberry jam, you won't like this. I used a bag of frozen strawberries--let them thaw, drained them and they were ready to use in the recipe.
