Turned out great, but much much harder than I thought. I'm not sure when I'll be attempting this again.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I had to add more milk and corn syrup to make it not goopy enough to put on the cookies. Once I did that, it turned out great. I added peppermint flavoring rather than almond, and I really liked it this way.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

So So So good! Definately soft and delicious, with just the right amount of spice. I rolled these in course sanding sugar so the cookies kind of sparkled when they came out. Perfect!

Taco Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
If I could give it 10 stars I would - excellent recipe and very close to a convenience store's feature taco pizza. Crust came out beautiful in the bread machine too...plan on trying just the crust to make regular pizzas as it was a great recipe with good texture and taste. I added crushed Nacho Doritos to the top before serving, as the convenience store serves theirs that way and my kids loved it! Way cheaper...and VERY close in taste! Thanks for sharing and God bless you

Delicious and simple. WARNING: DO NOT USE DOVE CHOCOLATES! They do not melt correctly and the caramel oozes out when you try to press the pecan onto the top.

Sunshine Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
Great base recipe for some sticky bbq chicken! I trimmed the fat from my chicken thighs and baked it for about 45 minutes. I added a few things because I was looking for a spicy teriyaki style sauce... red pepper flakes, minced garlic instead of powder, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, and some chipotle hot sauce. I also replaced half of the corn syrup with honey. I hate reviewing recipes if I made so many changes to them, but I wanted to give credit where it is due!

Very, very good with salmon patties! All I did differently was used dry dill, and more of it! Thanks for the refreshing recipe!

Speedy Salmon Patties

Very tasty and quick to make, just like it says! I added a couple tablespoons of bread crumbs, but still had to be careful turning the patties because they fell apart easily. The boyfriend never had them before, but loved it! Thanks for the keeper!

Golden Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
OMG! These are awesome pork chops! I'm normally not a pork chop person, but I ran across this recipe, and just had to try it. I'm so glad I did! I did add onion & garlic powders. I also added a bit of milk to the soup, making it easier to spread on top of the chops. My daughter, who normally doesn't like gravy on her meat, had two helpings! I'll definitely be making again. Thanks for sharing!

Chocolate-Covered OREO Cookie Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
What a great cake! Being it's Christmas time, we used the candy cane oreos for the filling. We used store bought chocolate icing, and I piped a snowflake on top. Then we sprinkled some gorgeous silvery white and red sprinkles. This made a very attractive cake. To top it all off, everyone raved how good the cake was...made my day! Thanks so much for sharing:)

I did not like this recipe at all!! The roast was VERY dry with no flavor. Maybe if you use a chuck roast it might turn out better.

Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp Etouffe

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
Wonderful!!! Oh, this is comfort food at its finest for sure! Thank you so much for this fabulous, easy recipe! Don't pass on this one if you don't have fish stock; you can certainly use chicken stock! I threw all of my leftover seafood in - a filet of salmon, a couple filets of tilapia, a bag of scallops, some shrimp. It was like a seafood chowder ;-) I did add a tablespoon of butter to the roux to give it a rich finish. Mmmm. Served over rice and it was great! This is a versatile recipe - you can leave out the "hot" for children - all four of mine gobbled it up!

Shredded Barbecue Beef

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
This is a great recipe. As much as I use my crockpot, I must admit, I would never have gone with this little of liquid. But I did and it worked nicely. I did need to add a can of beef broth about 4 hours in as the liquid was nearly gone. I also used quite a bit more bbq sauce. Finally, used a cheaper roast and it worked out fine. Served on fresh rolls with mild cheddar slices. Yummmmm.

Sour Cream Chicken and Stuffing

I made it just like the recipe said only I doubled the stuffing...i like more...and I also used a seasoned stuffing which I think helped. I think if I play around with this that maybe it could eventually be a 5 star recipe. Thanks for a decent recipe though!
