Sugared Asparagus

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
This was a hit! I always fix a Hollandaise sauce with asparagus, and this was fast and just as good.

Chow Mein Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2008
This is a good recipe. I halved the recipe, but left 1 lb of hamburger and the whole can of soup, and about 1 cup of rice, and then cooked in an 8x8 pan. I used celery seed instead of actual celery. Next time I make this, I will use water chesnuts instead of the almonds.

Asparagus Casserole I

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
I took this casserole to a superbowl game and it was a touchdown for sure! Some changes I made: I used about 4 cups of chopped ham, 2-10oz of frozen cut asparagus, a whole small green pepper, I probably used at least a cup of shredded cheese, 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and about 3/4-1 cup of evaporated milk and I added fresh mushrooms. Everyone loved this recipe. When I make it for just my husband and I next time, I will use the original recipe in an 8 x 8 baking dish instead of a 9 x 13.

Traditional Reuben Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
This was pretty good. I used another recipe from this site to cook my corned beef prior. It is the Corned Beef and Cabbage II recipe--which I highly recommend. I used only light Rye bread, that's all I could find. I think I needed a stronger flavor of Rye than what I used. I used fat free thousand island & I don't recommend that. I think it needs more flavor from the dressing than the fat free offers. I did, however, use the light sour cream and would do that again. This dish tasted much better as leftovers. I will make this again with using darker rye and thousand island with some fat!

Indian Chapati Bread

This was OK, I was disappointed because it did not taste like the bread I had at the Indian Restaurant.

Cowboy Skillet Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
This was a very simple, and fast! Only took me about 30-40 minutes to make! I used ground turkey, seasoned with back pepper, one red pepper, 1/2 of an onion, one fresh tomato, 1/2 can of corn, baked beans & the fajita seasonings. I put a thin layer of mexican style shredded cheese between the meat and cornbread layer. I will try the southwest seasonings next time. Thank you for this very simple and yummy recipe!

I didn't have any sesame seeds, so I used Montery chicken spice and it was very good.

Brisket with BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
Wow! This was so tender! I loved the sweetness of the BBQ sauce over top of the brisket. I omitted the celery salt because I didn't have any, but it was delicious! I wanted my husband and I to try it first so i cut the recipe in half, so I cut the cooking time in half as well. I would recommend this to ANYONE!

Hot Seafood Ramekins

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
I liked how this could be a nice appetizer. I ate more of the crab cold than I did when it was done. I really liked the shrimp in the recipe. If you're not a fan of warm crab, use all shrimp!!
