Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
This was a great recipe. I increased all of the ingredients but the ham because I like powerful food, and I also baked it at a lower temperature for a lot longer. It turned out great and even my I-only-eat-chicken-nuggets cousin ate a huge serving.

This would have turned out better if I were better at making dough, but it was very good anyway.

I made an entire casserole worth and there were no leftovers. So much better than those recipes that use soup!

Hot Corn

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
I am rating this recipe a 5, but with the following changes: I don't add jalepenos because I don't care for them. Also, I use 60 oz. frozen corn instead of canned (b/c I prefer the flavor). I also add some garlic powder b/c otherwise it's bland. I mix about half the cheese into the sauce, and then pour over the corn. You have to work fast with the frozen corn because the sauce will clump quickly. I then add the rest of the shredded cheese and bake. So yummy!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
Delicious. I prepared it mostly as the recipe detailed and it turned out perfectly firm and delicious. I made a bit of a topping with some blueberries, lemon juice, corn syrup, and powdered sugar. It went perfect with the not-too-sweet flavour of the cheesecake. No wonder why after 2000 reviews this recipe has 5 stars!

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with Garlic Mayo

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
I thought this recipe was very good. I prefer to use garlic powder or granulated garlic instead of minced garlic, because biting into a big piece of minced garlic is less than pleasurable. Next time I'm looking for an easy meal I'll be sure to use this one again!

Loved, loved, loved this recipe. I too modified the original to include 1/2 of brown sugar and a bit of vanilla. I believe my friends will be very happy with the gifts I give them this year.

Very good recipe- my fiance's mom used to make this, so I was following up the best, and totally came through!! I would add some onion and garlic next time, as others suggested- I thought it needed just a tad more flavor. Thanks for sharing!!

They were good, I wouldn't say awesome but good! They did fall a part a bit but nothing too major. On the plus side, I have a 2 year boy who LOVES to help cook and this is a good one for him because of the amount of ingredients! I will be making these cookies AGAIN!!! Thank you :-)

A great recipe for the busy cook. Very basic, but very good! I added just a little chopped garlic to the butter as it was melting. Love the garlic in this house!

Apple Crisp IV

Would have been better if I had made it. My mother baked this, and the "Crisp" turned into more of a huge, soggy, oatmeal cookie on top of apple slices. Would have probably been delicious.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
These were wonderful! I followed the advice of others and fried them till they were brown and crispy and then baked them for 35 minutes. I heated the gravy on the stove and poored over the pork chops so those who didn't want gravy didn't have to have it. I will definately make pork chops like this from now on!

Good Dog Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
These were good, I made them for a holiday present for my sister's dog- who by all accounts, scarfed them up! I tried them too- a little bland for my taste, and I didn't get a "meaty" flavor or smell from them, like you would think would appeal to a dog, but she liked them!

Creamy Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
I made this for a family get-together and there was almost a fight for the last piece! (My uncle and his father both love blueberries!) Made it just as the recipe states, although I did add some cinnamon to the sour cream mixture and the topping. I might experiment with cutting back the sugar for future tries, but it tasted great to me. FYI- I used the deep-dish pie crust, and two containers of blueberries fit perfectly.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
I thought these were fantastic. So quick and easy - I started them at 9:00 at night and was done by 10. I got 40 cookies out of this, but I ate some of the dough before it hit the cookie sheet. :) I followed the recipe exactly except that when I measured the vanilla, I did it over the bowl and let it run over the edge of the measuring spoon (I always do this). I use Mexican vanilla for everything because that's what my mom used when I was growing up, and I don't like the other stuff! (You can get it really cheap at Mexgrocer.com) I rolled all of these into about 1 inch balls, then rolled them in sugar. I left 2 doz in ball form and baked that way - the rest I flattened when I put them on the cookie sheet and then baked. The cookies that were baked in a ball shape were thicker with a lighter, softer texture - semi chewy when warm. The flattened ones were much more crisp. I frosted the flattened cookies with cream cheese frosting I had left over after making carrot cake cookie sandwiches last week (from Martha Stewart's site). The cookies were great with the icing, too! This will be my go-to sugar cookie recipe. I love the flavor and I always have the ingredients for this. Thanks so much for sharing!

I think this is an amazing recipe, thank you! It was so good! I find that I like to mix in the little crumb-filling stuff though, it spreads the flavours around better.
