Easy Garlic Ginger Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
I always try to make a recipe as written the first time around. Don't. As some of the other reviewers said. 4 limes is about 2 limes to many. It's edible, but my family hated it, some refused to eat it. I am trying to come up with a way to repurpose the sour chicken. I do have some extended family that would love this so to be fair I am giving it a 3.

Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls

I found it helpful to soak the mint if you are not picking it off your own plants. Fresh mint from the store is a little dry. I also threw in about a 1/2 tsp of rice wine vinegar into the rice it gives it a more authentic taste. These were fantastic, for me anyways.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
Ok I cut this recipe down to a third and used a whole egg instead of just the egg white, and I used 2 cloves of Garlic instead of one and didn't have any fresh parsley. I have tried lots of Turkey burger recipes that end up dry or won't hold together. This was juicy, tasty and overall fantastic. Made it with some sweet potato fries. YUMMY

I've been making this dish for about 10 years now. It's a family favorite that has never gotten old! We like our food pretty spicy, though, so I usually add crushed red pepper flakes to ours.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2009
This was so delicious I ate it for a week straight for dinners! I made it exactly as the recipe said, except I also added a little Tabasco (few drops) and some chili powder at the beginning. Topped with plenty of shredded cheese, and ate it with nacho chips. This was so simple, and tasted so good! It also reheats really well in a saucepan on the stove top.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Delicious!!! We don't really care for onions, so I strained the onion pieces out of the soup and just used the liquid (after cooking the soup). I also added a piece of melted Provelone cheese to the sandwiches. Mmmmm. So easy, and tastes great! Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

Raspberry Fudge Brownies

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
Delicious!! They definitely take some work, but as other reviewers agree, it's well worth it. I did not cut mine into 32 triangles, but kept them at 16 squares. As rich as they are, I think that 1 square is a serving. Instead of using any kind of fruit jam (not big on fruit in my desserts), I used chocolate cool whip and cream cheese. It worked out great! Might be a nice substitute for anyone else who is not a big fan of fruit with their brownies.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
This is my new favorite! I made it exactly like the recipe and served it over rice, and it was great! I like my sauces a little thick, so I'll add a thickener next time. I'll also add some vegies of some kind --- green onion, green pepper, etc., just to add some cruchiness to it. Wonderful as is, though!

Panettone I

Very simple to make; sweet and moist. Delicious as a breakfast bread toasted with some butter and honey. The only thing I would do differently is cut down on the amount of lemon zest. The lemon flavor and aroma was a little overwhelming.

Orange Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
This recipe lends itself greatly to a roll up recipe. I spread it out on a cookie sheet lined with parchments and baked for about 22 minutes at 350. Took it out of the oven and covered it with a towel and rolled it up. Once cooled I unrolled it and filled it with a mixture of 1/3 cup cream cheese, 1 1/2 cuppowdered sugar and 3/4 cup whipped heavy cream and a 1/2 tsp of orange extract. Roll it back up and chill. Everyone asked for the recipe. It was light but decadent and refreshing. Definetly a keeper.
