Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
YUMMY! I just made this for the second time in two weeks. It's really great. And YES - use Granny Smith's and not a sweet apple. (Although I threw in a couple of Honey Crisp because I had them on hand.) I eased up on the sugar just a bit because it can be very sweet - but oh wow - it is so, so good. Not alot of work for an excellent ending. YUM!

Chocolate Scotcheroos

My mom used to make these when I was little. I agree with the other reviewer who says to use a bag of chocolate chips and a bag of butterscotch for the topping. These are sweet and delicious!

My husband and I love this recipe! We make it consistently. We have substituted other white fish in place of the tilapia and it still turns out wonderfully.

Never made key lime pie before, or tasted it. My dad loves it so we made it for Fathers' Day. It was a hit. :)

Quinoa and Black Beans

We really liked this! It's very easy to make, and you can throw in whatever you want. I added tomatoes, and used chicken broth instead of vegetable broth. This is the first time I've ever had quinoa.

Pro Ganache

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
This was easy and very professional looking. It tasted like the inside of a truffle and got rave reviews. I followed the directions exactly and chilled the ganache in the fridge. I took the ganache out of the fridge and when it was close to room temperature, I spread it across the chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake I'd made earlier in the day. Delicious!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
A really great recipe! I used chocolate graham crackers and doubled the raspberry sauce I made to serve over the cake after it was sliced. I also used parchment paper on the bottom of the pan and baked the cake with a water bath in the oven (not IN the water bath) and it didn't crack.

White Peach Sangria

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
Overall this is a great recipe. When made as the directions stated I thought it came across too peachy, so I added a bottle of club soda and the whole can of lemonade concentrate. Since it is mid March peaches are hard to come by so I used a bag of frozen peaches and a bag of mixed berries, I also sliced up some limes as well. It was very pretty and tasty to boot!

Amazing!!! I used almond extract instead of anise, these are awesome! I also added some crushed almonds to the batter. And topped them off with almond bark with sprinkles, some with almond bark and crushed almonds, and the others with drizzles of almond bark.

Loved this! Used 8oz of mushrooms instead of 4 and less cheese on top- 1 cup instead of 2. We ate it by itself instead of serving on pasta, just to keep it low carb.

Russian Chicken with Feta Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
Wow this was great! My whole family loved this, my daughter would take a bite of chicken and then spoon more sauce onto her plate. The whole the time she was saying "yummy mom this is great!" The only change I made was instead of all sour cream, I mixed in half fat free sour cream and half low fat plain yogurt. I also used fresh parsley instead of dried. I served it with gnocchi for my husband and I and made rice for my daughters. Both were good with it, but next time I think I will just serve it with rice. I will be making this again.

Dutch Apple Pie

This pie is incredible!! Although I don't wrap it in parchment paper, it's still the most delicious apple pie my family has ever tried. I received many compliments after making this at Thanksgiving this year. Considering my husband's mother is quite the baker, I know this is a testament to the trying a pie based on the reviews that were written on your site. Thank you! mpliments at my Thanksgiving meal

Dark Chocolate Candy Cane Crackles

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
Delicious cookie!! Tastes like thin mint Girl Scout cookies but better. I substituted semi sweet chocolate chips for chocolate pieces. Since I was scared of sticking, I greased the cookie sheet with butter flavored Crisco & flipped dough over after smushing each ball. I also shortened the cooking time to 8 1/2 minutes and let them set on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack. Nothing stuck and they turned out perfect.

Cinnamon Sugar Cookies

AMAZING!! These cookies were super easy and I had everything on hand! I can make these any time i'm feeling the urge! I'm kinda of impatient so I put the dough in the frige for only an hour (after eating like half! :) ) and just scooped and poured the cookie dough on the pan with a spoon and sprinkled cimmamon sugar over them. They came out AMAZING! Thank you so much for this recipe!!!

Pepperoni Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
Simple, delicious and filling. So cheap to make! I used the 3 pack frozen bread dough because it was cheaper than Pillsbury. I took the advice of another reviewer and covered the bread with foil once it was brown on top (20-30 minutes in) so it could finish baking without burning. I overstuffed mine as well and have leftover bread for my lunch today.
