Instant Yeast Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
This is a winner! I'm giving this recipe five stars because it's so easy, so quick, and tastes as good as if if I had spent all morning making them! These will be the rolls I'm serving for Thanksgiving dinner.

Southern as You Can Get Collard Greens

I really liked this. However, no one else would try it. I did use cider vinegar because I didn't have any white, but I don't think it made a difference.

Triple Dipped Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
Mmmm good! This a great recipe! I made it today for the first time, and everybody raved about it! I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts that I cut into tenders, substituted a teaspoon chipotle pepper for the Tablespoon of black pepper. Those were my only changes. I'm thinking of trying finely ground corn flakes for the third dip next time for a richer color.

These are really good, but rolling them out was very tiring for me (I'm 76), and mine weren't quite as thin as I would have liked.

Breakfast Burritos

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
These are very popular with my grandson and his friends. I did make a few changes. I had some already cooked bacon in my freezer, so I chopped it and mixed it and the onion into the eggs as I scrambled them. My grandson works in a fast food place that makes similar burritos, and he suggested that I put a half slice of cheddar onto the tortilla, then put the scramble on top before folding it up. It's easier and less messy than sprinkling shredded cheese. Now I make them up in advance, wrap them in parchment paper and freeze them in zippered plastic bags. The boys warm them up in the microwave for snacks.

Homemade Vanilla Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
This recipe is tops! Everyone loves it! Very easy and quick to make. I've also used it as filling for the Cream Puff Shells by Ginger P. and I've made it with canned milk for half the milk called for. I've made it with skim milk, too. I did cut back a bit on the sugar and doubled the vanilla. It's good with all kinds of milk or milk combinations that I've tried so far.

Awesome Egg Rolls

Very good. I gave it four stars because we didn't care for the cabbage just shredded. The second time I made it, I shredded, then chopped the cabbage fairly fine and we like it better that way.

great filling. Shells had tendency to tear, and some stuck together - probably need to cook fewer at a time, or get a larger cooker.

This is really good. All the adults who have tried it loved it. None of the kids (teens) will even taste it! But they won't taste a lot of foods that are new to them! I made a lot of it and it will probably last into at least part of the fall/winter season.
