Red Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
This salad is the best! The only thing I did differently was that I used honey in substitute for the sugar to improve the nutrition. We also kept the bacon separate to add to each serving as per other reviewers recommendations. Absolutely delectable! TY so much for posting, we will be making this salad again and again!

Butternut Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
This recipe was great. My husband said that if I had put it in a fancy dish, it would have been just like something at Ruth's Chris (a really fancy steak place). I didn't use the cookies in the topping, but used all the other ingredients the same. I used a combination of baking in the oven and the microwave to cook the squash until tender. It was a bit of work to get the rind off the squash, but it was worth it!. I will definitely make this again. Thanks for posting.

Artichoke Dip

Made this for appetizers for a party and got rave reviews. Added more garlic. Didn't have a food processor, used the blender. Awfully thick for my poor blender. Still turned out great.

Tacos in Pasta Shells

Made this last night and it was really good! I would agree with the reviewer that it needs twice as much taco sauce than called for - will remember that next time. And there WILL be a next time! :)

Homemade Refrigerator Pickles

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
Made these with just cucumbers. My husband is a pickle snob and he loved them. I did use 1tbs mustard seed, 1tbs celery seed and 1tbs pickling spice. I also used pickle crisp and canned them. They were great,

Waffles I

Great recipe! Nice and fluffy! I did health-it-up by using King Arthur whole wheat flour in place of the white, aluminum free baking powder, 2 tbsp real maple syrup for the sugar, olive oil for the veg oil and added a dash of cinnamon.

Goulash Supreme

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
Like others, I found it rather bland. I added some salt and that didn't really help. I also wasn't sure how long to let it simmer, since the macaroni was put in raw. I probably won't make it again, but keep looking for a goulash recipe that suits our family.

Egg Drop Soup I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2009
This soup tasted good but looked just a little weird. I added some garlic powder and just a little soy sauce. I also didn't use the cornstarch but did add a little more egg. When I added the eggs it looked good and then it looked like scrambled eggs in chicken broth. When I have it in the restaurant the eggs look more whispy. I'll definitely be making it again but I might try to let the soup come down from a boil when I add the eggs.

Wildfire Sausage Meatballs

This recipe was really easy and tasted great. I used mild italian sausage and put it on spaghetti. They did stick a little to the cookie sheet, so I might try to grease the sheet first. I will definitely be using this recipe again!

This is a great salad because you can add almost anything and it still tastes great. I have used summer squash and that was very good. The new pepperoni minis works great in this salad

Basic Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
This recipe is a keeper. I did make some changes as recommended by other reviewers. I used 1 lb of mild italian sausage and browned it with onion and garlic. I used 1 lb of spaghetti and 2 big jars of spaghetti sauce. I also threw in a can of sliced mushrooms. I layered the dish (noodle, sauce, cheese) x2. I also put some cheese in meat sauce mixture. It set up really well and tasted great. I served it with garlic bread. Thanks for the post.

Creamy Vegetable Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
This was a great recipe. After reading other reviews, I halved the recipe and it still made a big pot. I also doubled the potatoes, used broth instead of water, added 1 cup of chopped carrots, and 2 cups of pulled, cooked chicken. I also added salt and pepper to taste. My husband and I thought it was really good. My 2 year old liked it, too. I will definitely make this again. Thanks for posting.

Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
Very good! My three kids love blueberry pancakes, but they are very picky eaters and I was worried that they would reject these due to the whole wheat. No need to worry! Even one of my sons - who eats them plain (no butter or syrup) ate heartily!

Easy Weeknight Tuna Pot Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
This was really good. I baked it for the minimum time (11 min) and thought it had a pretty golden crust. When I cut into it I saw that the crescent dough was still somewhat gooey underneath, so definitely add a few more minutes. I threw it back in the oven for a bit and now I think it's fine. Very easy!! :)

the corned beef was so tender and the vegies were great. Used a 2lb. corned beef. my DH and I were fighting over the last piece. I thought it would be more than enough for the two of us. I guess I was wrong.

Scrumptious Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
This recipe was great! It's nice to find a new take on chicken and stuffing. I did add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to chicken breast before adding toppings. I also used provolone cheese instead of cheddar. The chicken was moist, and the cheesy, yet crunchy texture was wonderful. I would suggest that you make sure to crush most of the stuffing as the recipe says. Thanks for this recipe.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2008
Turned out very moist and not a bit dry! Something about the flavor wasn't going over well with me, tho - I think it was the steak sauce, which I'm not a fan of to begin with. Should I make this again, I will substitute BBQ sauce.
