Awesome Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
Just made this today for my sick fiance. Followed the instructions exactly, except I cooked the noodles separately, as suggested by reviewers, because I have dealt with mushy noodles in the past. It was very good. The flavor of the broth was very light, but that was good for the sick man in the house!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
Don't know what the issue is with those who ended up with dry cake. Since purchased cake mix is not specifically created for bundt usage, it's necessary to drop the temp on the oven by 25 degrees, bake a little more slowly, and test for doneness with a toothpick in the center. Pull it out JUST when done. Nice and moist. Top with the easy SATINY CHOCOLATE GLAZE on this site. We substituted chopped M&Ms. It was a major hit with my company!

Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
The previous reviews are correct, and if you take heed, this is an excellent recipe! 1. Don't fill muffin tins to top. 2/3 full as usual. 2.) Cut butter back to 1/4 c. for topping. Though it seems like two apples makes the apple:batter ratio inappropriate, it really was spot on! Very flavorful and moist! Just adjust as above. Thanks for the delicious breakfast!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
This recipe is both superior in flavor and gets an A+ for ease of preparation! Be careful not to add too much chicken broth or you'll be over the edge on saltiness. We added more florets, like the reviewer before us. Threw in cauliflower and carrots, too! DELICIOUS! Thank you!! A real KEEPER!

Frosted Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

I absolutely love this recipe! I omitted the frosting and instead of regular mini chocolate chips, I used Ghiradelli chocolate chips. Makes the recipe very rich. I served it with drizzled hot chocolate and whipped cream. Amazing!!!

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
Made this last night and it was delicious my husband loved it and so did the kids. I also added extra veggies (carrots, onions, and diced zuccini) to the dish and used brown rice instead of white, which was leftover from the night before! Oh and added cooked pork too. Didn't use a wok and it still turned out great!

Lentil Burritos

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
First off I want to say thanks to Pam for putting the idea of using lentils in a burrito in my head. I would have never thought of that combination and really enjoyed it. Second like other reviewers I tweaked the recipe which is something I usually do to make it to my family's liking. First off I cooked the lentils all by themselves because I have never cooked lentils and was a little apprehensive.I also made two different variations of the burritos one with leftover ground venison, lentils, tomatoes, sauted onions, minced carrots and brown rice and the other with lentils, brown rice, and salsa. I never really measure the seasonings just add what looks good. The carrots I finely chopped using my mini food processor. Something I always add to any ground beef/ground meat dish. I figure it gives my kids extra veggies and also makes the meal go farther which is another great thing about lentils. I made a whole 16oz bag and had at least 2 cups extra for another nights meal along with extra leftover rice. I was looking up burrito recipes in the first place because I found a bunch of wraps for a great price. I used the wraps and lentil/venison lentil filling to make at least 20 make ahead burritos. I'm going to do the same tomorrow with eggs, salsa, ham, cheese and tomatoes. Hope this helps and thanks again Pam for a highly versatile recipe!

Spinach Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
I made the recipe as it says and it was great!! I had a request to make spinach chicken enchilada's and this was the only recipe I found on allrecipes.com. Next time I might add some green chiles or pepper jack cheese but that's only because I like my enchilada's to have a little more of a kick. It was still great without them though :)

Stuffed Pattypan Squash

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
This was great! It exceeded my expectations. I was a little confused when the recipe called for me to have stem removed and then told me to remove the stem in the directions, but I just left them on and removed them after cooking. I did use reduced fat colbyjack and parmesan, and it was wonderful!

Shrimp Linguine Alfredo

I made this recipe for my boyfriend and he loved it! I did like most and doubled the sauce. I saute the shrimp, onion and garlic in some white wine and when the sauce was finished I added the shrimp. It goes great with garlic bread also.

This was AWESOME! My husband and I used heaping measures of all spices except the cayenne and added a little cinnamon. My mom and my husband aren't the most adventurous, but they LOVED this. DH told me to cut it out and put it in the "keeper" pile.

Garlic Butter Green Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
Mmmmm these were good! This is going to be my "go to green bean recipe" from now on. I made a few adjustments based on our tastes and what we had around olive oil instead of butter, frozen haricot verts instead of fresh green beans, two garlic cloves instead of one and the juice of a Meyer lemon instead of regular lemon juice.

Bran Flax Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
This is a great recipe! Most baked goods containing flaxseed or oat bran that I've tried tasted gross but these little muffins are delicious. I followed the recipe to the letter with the exception of substituting 2 tbsp of veg oil for applesauce. Also the recipe says it makes 15 muffins but my batch made 24...you won't hear me complain about that though!

Baked Omelet Squares

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
This is really great! We were looking for a new breakfast idea, and this fit the bill. Love the cheese layer at the bottom. I sauteed one onion, one green bell pepper, 1/2 red bell pepper, and fresh mushrooms for the veggies. No black olives or jalapenos--just didn't think we would like it in the morning, but I'm sure it would be good.
