About me:
Love to cook. After one year of not having a kitchen, it is finally done and I am cooking up a storm. So much that I am giving food away.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Reviewed on Oct. 3, 2008 by SHADOWMERV
I'd rate this a 3.5 as written but it easily turns into a 5 with the addition of brown sugar, about 2 tbsp., maybe a tad more. Of course, this is a matter of personal taste but I love a sweeter sauce.

Southwestern-Flavored Ground Beef or Turkey for Tacos & Salad

Reviewed on Sep. 30, 2008 by SHADOWMERV
This is an excellent alternative to the packaged seasoning variety. I was looking for a homemade and authentic tasting taco meat but without the artificial taco seasoning packets you find at the grocery store. I did puree the tomatoes and didn't add as much cumin, just due to personal tastes, and I forgot to add the cornmeal. Delicous and my kids loved it too.

Chicken and Bowtie Pasta with Asiago Cream Sauce

Reviewed on Aug. 26, 2008 by SHADOWMERV
This was very good. I'd give it 4.5 stars (I rate 5 stars for exceptional dishes only). I took another reviewer's suggestion and used half & half and it was plenty rich. I would definitely cut the amount of pasta in half. I had absolutely no problem using a whole buillion cube and I doubled the Asiago cheese.
